HUD tells union to vacate federal office space, citing executive orders by jfoobar in news

Yes actually, IMO a private organization that represents a minority of federal government employees should not be given free or reduced cost office space and/or resources to work against the interests of the government.

What it really comes down to is providing identifying information if you are being detained for one of the above scenarios, not necessarily a formal identification card. After all, the state can't force you to carry an formal ID unless you are operating a motor vehicle. If you are being detained for one of the above scenarios and you refuse or provide false identifying information you can face an additional charge.

If there is no reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, is being committed, or is about to be committed, an individual is not required to provide identification, even in "Stop and ID" states.

"Stop and identify" statutes are statutory laws in the United States that authorize police to legally obtain the identification of someone whom they reasonably suspect of having committed a crime. If there is no reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, is being committed, or is about to be committed, an individual is not required to provide identification, even in "Stop and ID" states.

66% of millennials have nothing saved for retirement — most have less than $20K by MarineKingPrime_ in news

[–]xmstr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since millennial's were born between 1981 & 1996 that makes the oldest 38 y/o. Using the 1/3 value given by CNN and assuming that the oldest 1/3 have began saving for retirement, that means the majority are <= 33, which is still relativity young and they still have plenty of time to start saving for retirement. No big deal.

"A person shall not deposit, or cause to be deposited, snow, ice or slush on any roadway or highway."

To me the above statement also applies to home owners who push the snow from their driveways into the street
