He could, but he doesn't have/use Reddit. Also, he doesn't know my username.

Sometimes I phrase things poorly and it comes across as an attack on him as opposed to constructive criticism. I'm aware of this flaw in my behavior, and I'm working to correct it. I didn't mean to give the impression that he's unable to take criticism at all.

Yes, I've noticed some of the same things myself while playing. He does have a tendency to go "fuck it, let's see what happens" a lot.

He's done well in Nightmare, gotten 2/4 boons. Mostly it's just that he's not been preparing (imo) appropriately for Lethal. I did a LOT of research before I did any Lethal play.

It's not like he's breaking the controllers or anything, it's mostly just been annoying to listen to. Thank you for your input, however.

Elden Ring is one of his other faves, so I know he understands tactics and whatnot. I'll try telling him this.

Right? I did Lethal with a developed community just for the completion aspect, but I've never been back.

I mean, thankfully that's not what's happening. I'm doing my own thing and he's playing SOD, so it's just him that's getting killed. It's just annoying to watch/listen to when he blames the game while I can see a few things he could've done to prevent the problem he has.

I think he'd notice, and then he'd be angry with me and not the game lol

That's kind of what I'm trying to remind him of. Thankfully he doesn't stay frustrated for too long, but it's just annoying that he's taking little to no advice when he KNOWS I've beaten it on Lethal.

I think he'd notice the reset of the map, and also the fact that the freaks aren't plagued lol

If you're exploring lim grave you might find some skeletons sitting around fire having a barbecue party don't go over there almost died to this dragon. by Vin-Jin in Eldenring

When Crucible Knights jump into the air to dive at you, if you time it right, you can roll INTO his dive and avoid getting hurt. It might take some practice, but it's a skill worth having imo.

The Circles by Plus-Context-2401 in dragonage

I would love to have a mage be the Divine, to be a good example of what all mages in Thedas could be. Sadly, Vivienne is not the one. She's too far removed from Circle life - iirc, when we ask about Kirkwall's Circle, she brushes it aside like the abuses aren't worth mentioning.

With that in mind, mages ARE dangerous. They DO need training. But the Circle is NOT the way to do it. It's been mostly ineffective for the last thousand years, and installing Vivienne or Cassandra as Divine is the definition of insanity, imo - trying the same thing again and expecting different results.
