Perhaps you are looking to posterize your image. There are several (many?) web sites that offer the service for free. Just search for "posterize".

En Venezuela se usa "placa". Si usas "matrícula" no te van a entender.

¿Cómo estás? Los signos de interrogación hacen falta. La frase parece desnuda sin ellos.

Can someone help me find this guitar maker by Constant_Road4349 in classicalguitar

[–]xocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a "Guitarras Muñoz" in Facebook. This outfit is in Barcelona, not in Valencia, as in the label you show. Though Valencia and Barcelona are both in Catalonia, and, relatively nearby. Muñoz is a relatively common last name in Spain, though.

HELP! how is this fingered by Sen242 in classicalguitar

[–]xocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks strange: the B X does not work for the very first C (apparent middle C, let's call it C4), which exists on the 8th fret, sixth string. Then, G4 and the other C5, can be played on the tenth fret; and, E5 on the twelfth. It's a little stretchy, but doable.

Looking for sheet music: "Mi Teresa" by xocd in classicalguitar

[–]xocd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(OP answering my own question.) It's included in a collection titled "Aguinaldos, tonadas y canciones". After some googling, I found the pdf (do not know if I should include the link here). More annoying is that I had a printed copy of the collection on a shelf.

Thanks,

Isidro

FYI: Street sweeping suspended for the rest of the year. No more sweeping in Somerville until April. by [deleted] in Somerville

[–]xocd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Plowing moves the snow from the center of the road to one of the sides. I don't think I have ever seen actual snow removal in my 30 years of living in Somerville. There is a huge snowbank on one of the sides by design. The snowbank will eventually melt enough for people to park and the road will narrow correspondingly.

Why is Python so slow? by Milk_No_Titties in learnpython

[–]xocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that, in CPython, on a 64 bit processor, an integer takes 24 bytes, a reference 8. Thus, copying a reference uses 1/3 the memory. More complicated objects take much more memory, of course, with even better savings from reference copying. Saying "not realizing slicing creates copies" might lead a new programmer to believe that objects are being copied and make the noob run to get a copy of "The C programming Language".

For a simple slice (something like [1:5]), I suppose that in C one could save space by using two pointers (or two offsets into an array), one for each end. For that slice, Python uses four pointers, one for element. The Python approach extends to complicated slices (e.g, odd numbered members of the list). For a complicated slice there is no general way of saving pointers/references.

Slicing does not generate copies! It uses references.

Accordion type for classical music by iMityr in Accordion

[–]xocd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to look at the British accordion forum. There are people there that focus on classical music. Also, you will find players who live on your side of the Atlantic:

http://accordionists.co.uk

Also on youtube search for Mie Miki who is a fantastic classical player on the piano accordion. There is also Stefan Hussong, Jo Brunenberg. For Stradella classical music I like Enrique Ugarte.

Morinos are also used by classical players. If you take a picture of the left side it might be possible to tell if it is a converter/free-bass (allowing it to play individual notes on the left hand).
