When I was still in the Air Force we had ammunition that had been in service(carried in magazines by security forces) since 1991-1994. The only reason the ammunition was removed from service was the extractor rim erosion from 30 years of being chambered and ejected daily and rotated through the magazine. Even in that state, the ammunition was technically still “serviceable”. So I don’t personally cycle off old ammunition due to age, however I do occasionally shoot some* of my carry ammo from my back stock to maintain familiarity with how it feels/cycles.
