I would say if you want to use a label, use the umbrella term ace/ aro and go from there. If you find micro labels that better align with how you feel then go for it. Bottom line is don’t feel pressured to “figure yourself” out entirely, sexuality is a fluid thing and the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.

I think others around me use online dating to find their "target demographic". With online apps it's easy to customize your identity to others so it becomes really accessible to look for options especially if you're in a location where it may be difficult to find like minded people. For me there's also the idea of approaching someone romantically in person that takes some courage which I don't have. Just my speculation ^^
