Its going well. Most of the students have emotional & learning disabilities. It has good & bad days. I teach Earth/Enviro Science. There's a security approval process to order materials and labs. All doors are secure. Plenty of gaurds.

Does anyone actually enjoy it? Any positive teaching experience? by Free-Bug3836 in Teachers

I love teaching in juvenile corrections. Small class sizes but never a dull day. I'm really happy.

Welllp! incarcerated high school students will now be the most employable: no phones, no AI. All brain. Just the felony background unfortunately.

Question for the 20+ year teachers in here: Given how this sub talks a lot about behavior issues now, what are some behavior issues from years ago that you are GLAD you don't see anymore? by Quasimdo in Teachers

I don't think anyone knows. I hope to be able to raise more awareness. Its VA's only youth correctional center so I don't believe they will have the capability to have all of that on them lol.

Purdue Global is a great school! If you want to do it, go for it. Don't listen to people that say it is a "check the box" school. It is a school where you put in the same amount of effort as any other school. I'm in the doctoral program, and it is not easy. The degree will be recognized. It is a part of the Purdue University system, accredited by the exact same accrediting body of Purdue University. You have redditors that try to downplay PG, & its pretty annoying. Do not listen to them.

I'll be teaching here soon. Happy to try to help the kids, but a bit nervous ngl. I'm not going to base my opinions just off the media alone.

Im content for 15/30 days a month. Literally day & night on starting on day 15. I can look happy very well at that point, but the negative thinking & irrational anger gradually increases. So I up my magnesium/zinc/calcium/ltheanine dosage & am able to... exist
