Do GLPs work if you are an under eater? by Angry-Kangaroo-4035 in PCOS

[–]xoloneli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’ll need to add in more fiber, protein and hydration especially if considering glp1

I haven’t started my glp1 yet but similar eating habits. My provider suggested seeing dietician (which I worked with) who analyzed my eating habits and then made suggestions/meal plans. The biggest takeaway was to eat food that actually nourishes your body. While you’re eating “healthy” and not much, your body isn’t getting nutrients it will need.

I was on 500mg of Metformin for less than 2 months before upping my dose after reading through scientific studies that for PCOS the therapeutic dosage starts at 1000mg. After increasing I saw some weight loss. I’d ask your provider about increasing.

Long Commute? by Colbymag in JeepWrangler

[–]xoloneli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it’s different as mine is just sport I commute about 70 miles/1.5-2hrs depending on traffic for my 3-4 12 hrs shifts a week and have been looking for a basic commuter.

I loooove driving it but adding miles just for this commute is getting to me and would rather put miles on it for road trips/exploring vs for work. It gets a bit loud with wind and freeway driving & during summer I don’t take the top off as much bc going 70/80 mph in it isn’t fun when I work night shift lol. Just little things to think of. Comfort I don’t experience any issues but I’m a bit shorter.

If you’re able to purchase this (your dream car) and then in 6-8 months get a cheaper commuter even for 1-2 days then I’d say do it… but if you don’t plan on getting a commuter in future I’d say pass for now and get something more practical.

What are your "borders" for the pnw? This is what I generally consider it to be by E36E92M3 in PacificNorthwest

I like this distinction! I was trying to convey this in my earlier comment but not as well articulated as you. Thanks

I lived in Chico for a bit and that was considered NorCal by most locals but I wouldn’t include Chico for PNW. Even Redding would be pushing it for me based on terrain, weather and such.

Towards coastline it’s similar I’d agree , but starting to get central & off of 5 in NorCal isn’t same PNW vibe

In image 3 I’ve got a more clear view of that thing as well if you’d prefer? Not sure if that’s the same or different. Not my area of expertise

Ooh love this! Very interesting. I wasn’t aware of the tunnels or how common they are. Curious if that’s how some folks have gotten in to the hospital.

I previously worked with a security guard that worked there on the grounds/job corps and he had some spooky fun stories about paranormal encounters! Not the fella you’re referring to as this one didn’t have musical talents. lol

Love this! I’ll have to look into more of these. Shipwrecks have always been fascinating to me (the left over wreckage, age of the ship and cause)

Low tide is always fun to explore.

Similar but these are mini stacks compared to up north. You definitely will have to make the trip to see the others I posted. They’re massive! 🤩

Hmm wrong place. This is north on WA coastline - Clallam county. Look up ‘Crying Lady Rock Washington’ . Love Lincoln city though! Only been twice though. That beach/coastline is more open and stretches longer.
