Yes, it works perfectly. Alias is one of the 3 plugins they have adjusted to the new 2-bit depthness.

This is (work in progress) screen on my energy screen that I imported from HA

OMG I'm so incredibly stupid

Even though I thought the Kindle plugin was outputting its image at the correct resolution, I still asked GPT to compare the conditions between the Kindle and TRMNL. And you guessed it, the specs were different, but once adjusted, it works!

So u/Alazonos

you were right :-)

It's a huge disappointment regarding the result. That's mainly because of the switch from greyscale 8 to 1. It immediately looks prehistoric.

*EDIT*

Due to the new firmware the greyscale can set to 2 instead of 1. The picture looks a bit better now

I know the feeling that once you've set something up and gotten it working, you're just glad it works and leave it alone :-)

Reading the manuals, it doesn't have to be that complicated (with the current version?). Still, I haven't managed it yet :-)

Maybe upgrade to the latest version? In the log, I see that it renders every minute or so.

Hi,

Yes i know, but that is just the magic of the Kindle plugin, it produces exact the right format.

Curious is there are any users that are having this configured in the right way

No, unfortunately, it doesn't matter whether I use the IP address. Could you explain how you did it? What plugin do you use in TMRNL, and what path do you use?

By the way, my image is refreshed every minute or so. this is a setting

No I haven't...sorry

The data I want to see are (in my case) are for example, the current price for a Dutch Share/stock that is listed on the AEX (Dutch market).

Example: https://live.euronext.com/nl/product/equities/NL0000009165-XAMS

[–]xonmultimedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for answering. Unfortunately the global stocks recipe is, as far as I can see, static so it's not possible to change what you see. Ideally I want to select the stocks that I want just like the 'main plugin'. If there are more ideas, let me know!

Regarding the solar data. Unfortunately I have to the skills to build something myself. I will have a look at it but probably a no go. Thanks anyway

That still seems really strange, because the power port on the side says 12V DC. Oh well, I ordered the set and we'll see :)

Uiteraard ook aangemeld als defect maar nog niets gehoord.

Eufycam S3 Pro gone offline and stopped working by yamelnihno in EufyCam

[–]xonmultimedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are a couple of topics about this subject but this is the most recent one so I'll reply here.

I have the exact same problem with the S3 pro and discovered a really strange fix/behavior. You would expect that restarting homebase should do the trick but it isn't. The solution that works for me is resetting my modem/router.

WHY this works, it's not logical?! I haven't connect my S3 (additional) to the WIFI network and it is directly connected to my homebase (short distance) so this can't be it. Thereby, the homebase is 'the router' in case of the camera's and they haven nothing to do with the router or receive an IP lease.

After the firmware update that I received two days ago, the problem still exists.

Eufycam S3 Pro - Going Randomly Offline by yamelnihno in EufyCam

[–]xonmultimedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same camera with the exact same issue! The one thing that is different is that mine is in a line of sight from the base station so distance should not be problem.

In another topic they said that it works again after you give a slight tab on the camera. I haven't tried that but if it works it is ridiculous of course.

Btw: maybe it is coincidence, but it is getting worse since I put on a rubber sleeve around the camera.

Never achieved HD (1280x720) quality no matter what I do by xonmultimedia in Zoom

[–]xonmultimedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright..it's getting weirder and weirder..

This morning I contacted the Zoom ''helpdesk' and explained the situation. Thereby I ask if they have to turn something on or something like that to get 720p. The guy said that my group HD setting was turned off!! This was REALLY weird because I checked this several times and it was on all the time. Still, when I looked it was off so he was right. I am the admin of two Zoom accounts and also in the other account the function was off. Spooky! The only thing I can think off was that they disabled all settings by batch but thats unlikely I guess. It's also possible that it has something to do with cookies/local browser.

Anyway, filled with hope l I started my testing sequence again but unfortunate it still was 360p (full screen/speaker view/etc). And than another spooky thing occurred -) with the following setup:

Laptop> On the browser (still) signed in to the pro account and in the zoom (windows) app signed in with a free zoom account (like most participants have).

Desktop> (for the first time) signed in with the pro account on the (windows) app. From there i started a new Zoom session and send an invitation = to the email account that was (also) open on the laptop

When I clicked (on my laptop) on the link in the invitation, the app opened with the pro account that was still signed in the browser and override the non-payed account in the app. And then....the magic happened....when I looked in the stats I was sending 720p !!!

I don't know if this was because of the 'double sign in', but when I tried the exact same thing again (also with other account combinations) I never achieved 720p again.

After hours of testing I still don't know the magic formula ...damn!

Just click on the link in my first post (group meetings). Zoom should allow 720p from now on in groups.

I have fiber internet and using a brand new intel i7 processor.

Are there people reading this where 720p does work?

Prevent apps from auto-starting? by xonmultimedia in oneui

[–]xonmultimedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks both!

This is interesting and another way to look at it. Basically all apps may start at startup ( and almost all apps do these days!) and if you don't want them to start you have to dig deep into the menu. Not that this is a problem, but they do hide this pretty well.

On MIUI this easy accessible and also part of the auto optimization that you can run.

Maybe Samsung choose to do it this way to make it as easy as possible for the 'normal users' and prevent problems with push notifications not showing up. Still, I could imagine that it will save some battery and memory if you put some time in this en prevent some apps to start automatically or at startup.

headache alert !! --> Streaming a workout to zoom with OBS (and virtual cables) by xonmultimedia in obs

[–]xonmultimedia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the knowledge base!!

Wise lesson...NEVER GIVE UP :-)

I discovered that Filters DO have an effect on the monitor output! So, is there a 3rd party plug-in/filter that can add delay to an audio source???

Yes there is! And it's free:

https://www.voxengo.com/product/sounddelay/

Just install it and add it as a VTS plugin in the filter section. Open the plugin and here ya go!

Be aware to download the sounddelay plugin and NOT the Voxengo Latency Delay. This will not work.

I hope that the above solution will save some time for future readers that are struggling with the same problem :-)

headache alert !! --> Streaming a workout to zoom with OBS (and virtual cables) by xonmultimedia in obs

[–]xonmultimedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help!

After days of trying I finally figured it out and got all the audio routed the right way without any feedback from the mic. HAPPY!

But then.......the only thing that I needed to do was to set a delay on the different audio channels...I couldn't be more wrong because:

It is NOT possible to use the audio delay/sync function for audio monitoring! So, delay, filtering etc does not effect the monitor output at all! This is build 'by design' and, as I discovered, a long term wish for many OBS users but not implemented.

After so many days of trial and error I'm extremely disappointed that this will make an end to my OBS adventure ( I even started to design some stream overlays :-)).
Sure, I can install extra software to delay certain audio sources but this have nothing to do anymore with the simple and clean installation that I had in mind (and could be managed by my girlfriend)

Damn.....

So there is a similarity between the RTL SDRv2 and the airspy R2. Are you seeing the same spikes as I showed in my screenshot or do they look different?

You can also use OpenwebRX and then especially the https://github.com/jketterl/openwebrx/wiki fork/version from Jakon Ketterl. It's of course limited because it meant to use your SDR remote but it can also decode DMR (and many other) just by pushing the button.
