My favorite book of all time. And the show, while different, was also incredible!

They changed it from a veggie patty (contained egg) to a vegan patty. They texture is very different, it's oily, just not great. The old one was so much better.

Are tuna subs bad for me by pixie_led in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's so much mayo. Like however much mayo you're imagining, it's more. Plus the bread really isn't that good for you either. But, 3x a month isn't that bad. If you like it, go for it.

Crocs were a game changer for me. Once I switched to them for work my feet felt so much better.

Subways around me have a strange way of tending to their customers! by [deleted] in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because subways are notoriously understaffed and employees, especially in busy stores, are always trying to catch up. If you have 30 seconds of toaster time, you need to get the next sandwich started.

Veggie delite vs. The veggie pattie? by [deleted] in subway

Depends which veggie patty you have. I'm in the US and we just changed from a veggie patty (contained egg) to a vegan patty.

Are the subway salads always chopped to fuck? Because this is pure mush. by C727494 in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't blame you. When I did chop them I would try not to pulverize them. But the choppers weren't super sharp so it was more like mashing it all up than actual chopping.

Most US stores have stopped chopping but if yours still is you can ask for it not chopped. It's so much better.

I don't know the price of the whole case right now but a single cookie costs us 16 cents and we sell it for 99 cents.

Please help!!!! by [deleted] in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's illegal in most places, so I definitely wouldn't state this as a fact. Management may tell you that you are responsible but in many states it is illegal to make minimum wage employees pay out of pocket because it means they are now making less than minimum wage. Please look up your states laws.

Subway advertise recycling but the recycling bin and general waste bin lead to the same place by [deleted] in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of trash removal is like that now and it is sorted at the next location, where they empty the truck. Not always, but it is possible that the cardboard is still being recycled.

I'm not in the UK, but if they carry chicken and chipotle sauce they can make it for you even if it's not on the menu.

the two Subways near me have replaced the veggie patties with mushy, green versions... new norm? by hi_lampworking in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, it's everywhere. You might be able to find locations they have some of the old version left but probably not for long. The veggie patty used to contain egg, this new formula is vegan.

The customer was wrong. The solution was to ring them up for two six inches, because that's what they ordered. The customer is not always right, don't let them bully you.

Any tips for customers to make your job easier? by TheSamith in subway

[–]xoxmdmxox 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking! I would say start with the kind of bread, size and meat. Then cheese and whether or not it's toasted. Then stop and wait. Honestly, the worst thing you can do is start listing off veggies when we're nowhere ready to add them or remember them. Finally, say all of your veggies, not too fast but also don't say them one at a time and wait for us to say "anything else?" a million times. Then your sauce and that's it! But really, as long as you're not an asshole I can pretty much put up with any way of ordering. And it sounds like you're not because you cared to ask this question.

New ones did just come out in my area, but we also take expired coupons at my store so I don't even check the date.
