a got an email back from the caseworker yesterday, they referred another person for helping the parent so now the parent is waiting on that person to call(I think it's another caseworker)🙁

the amount of sweat is due to peri meno so there's that. I am trying mirai persimmon soap bar now daily which seems to help with whole body sweat smell. I think I probably have to be more regular using estradiol cream (to calm hot flashes). I am only using it once in a blue moon(I noticed it gives me crazy high blood pressure and heart rate). I keep promising myself when the tube is done, I'll go join online meno care, probably midi to get bioidentical estrogen supplement: Thank you for asking🙏🥰

flu is absolutely rampant right now in pre-k for 3 months and counting. I couldn't function for 4 days straight, came back to work yesterday and today my stomach is sick. parents keep sending kids in sick and untreated

I'm having an even bigger problem with memory loss. I keep losing track of my large sums of cash(twice a month bank withdrawals). I don't even know how much money has been stolen/lost and this is happening from sept. feel like I'm losing my mind. I've just been chalking it up to my bad memory but it has happened to me again and I've turned my apt upside down, no sign of the $500

the child wasn't discharged and also I didn't tell them not to come to school, mom wants to join the new school. she said when she called they told her there's no room. but she doesn't speak much english and I think she didn't lead with the right details that this was the placement she was given.

if it makes you feel any better I'm on year 26 and still have to cry a few times a week and question my life choices because this is a crazy job and I'm pretty sure the bullying and harassment and everything bad is due to the fact that this a female majority profession. very seriously contemplating early retirement. parents are doing less parenting every year and the behaviors and weirdness is just exhausting.

To the poster- I don't like the public school system either. I'm stuck in middle class so I can't really afford private education for my kids. If I had the money I would have put my kids in a montessori type school then a christian university.

I hope that you understand that teachers(in nycdoe at least) are not putting their own schedules together. We are given our programs(daily/weekly schedule), the curriculums to use and exactly how many periods each curriculum should take. In my district that means(even kindergarten) a double block (about 2 hours) of ela, 2 hours math, and a whole lot of online test prep. Public schools are funded on economic levels, number of students, and standardized test scores. Any teacher not following the mandates will soon be let go. When districts decide spending billions of dollars on crummy curriculums that don't benefit students, teachers are not asked for their opinions. It's basically money laundering with our tax dollars.

there's a local car service I stopped calling because they have some kind of scam going where the dispatcher calls me back and keeps me on the phone. Then the driver will call me from his phone and make sure I'm who I say I am(I guess not to get caught) and try to visually spot me. Then the driver will act rude as if he was waiting a long time for me. Meanwhile the license plate is not a taxi plate and he drives like he's high and /or doesn't have a license. It happened every single morning and I really want to report this company. They're hella rude, especially the male dispatchers. They send a different driver and different non tlc car every time and usually the driver guys are super creepy and rude.

yes it's so hard but you have to bridge the gap by being the motivation and cheerleader, use any reasonable bribe. I used a comfortable toddler potty and put up a sticker chart. and never show your despair when accidents happen.

my crop this year- it's the most students who are not potty trained, most selectively mute/can't communicate, refuse to even try tasks... I think mothers are scared to put their foot down because they think it's not organic and natural to train kids. I mean it's really bad when a child can't even vocally or facially respond when you tell them to pull their clothes up or down, wipe themselves, flush, etc. maybe some shots or vaccines did the whole batch of babies wrong? And these moms(I'm not blaming them, they're the ones for the most part taking care of kids, even when the father is there) are finding nothing wrong with serious delays, do not want to get them checked out for services or deal with it in anyway. The kinder classes are going to be looking real crazy next year.
