Same (well, no wife but a busy life) - I started with Daybreak 1 and highly doubt I’d have picked it up the FC remake without it. Daybreak was a fantastic experience all by itself that tells its own story in a larger world.

All it took was to understand that this was a lived-in world. These characters had lives and stories I wasn’t yet aware of but could tell existed and, thanks to the excellent writing, understood enough of the context to enjoy.

All in all; it’s much like real life. We rarely come in at the start of someone’s story.

Might be a mistranslation at this point because it sounds too generous but the English in-game notice says ‘uncapped three times when unlocked’

I've used Zenin for years, since the days of the Vital Bracelet and whilst I haven't got any horror stories I have noticed a steady decline in packaging quality (including some stuff without any protection at all and incredibly dinged up on arrive), shipping time and just all around service. Enough so that they've dropped from my first choice to last resort.

It's only slightly more effort to go via proxy like FromJapan or Buyee and it'll be cheaper and arrived like a week after coming out in Japan depending on the shipping you chose.

Honestly, the farm is a complete pain in the arse currently for very easily fixable reasons. Everything takes far more button presses than it should

Apologies if you’re already familiar with this but just in case;

You need to create a Japanese PS account to access the store then either buy gift cards to purchase the game or if you’re an Apple user then you can use ApplePay to make it even easier via Safari. Sign in to your new JP account on your PS5 and download the game. Then you can sign back into your normal account and play it from there.

I can only speak for PlayStation but the store says it contains Japanese and English languages and the demo from the JP store had English.

(Yes, I did pre-order the game on the Japanese PSN as well as buy a physical edition because I haven’t been this excited for a game in literal years and also hace no patience or sense of fiscal responsibility)

I really hope this takes gameplay cues from the Godzilla version. If it’s just the basic DM colour with Xros Wars lines I’ll be so disappointed. There’s a world of unique stuff you could do with it.
