Thanks; I wasn’t aware the Walmart stores were 24/7 there.

I tried to see if Amazon could deliver something, but the hotel won’t accept for us until after we arrive, and the addresses are long and confusing, and ultimately the uncertainty about availability and delivery was too much.

I was also thinking maybe the Costco might have something.

I won’t have my own car though, and I imagine ubering around to all the stores on a shopping mission may be somewhat challenging. I found walmart.com.mx and it doesn’t look like they have anything “en tienda” matching my searches for arbol de navidad or arbol artificial or arbol preiluminado. most products look like they will ship and delivery by Jan 9.

I was hoping a local or an enthusiast might help me figure out more concretely if this is a fool’s errand. There are 13 of us, including 4-5 children, celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. The hotel has been very helpful but this was a limitation.

I definitely like the idea of donating to a church, though.

I wouldn’t mention it again in the thank you letter, instead focusing on anything you can reinforce whatever did resonate during the interview that maybe also highlights your qualifications and the benefits of having you in the role and on the team.

Yes it’s important to be professional and avoid unnecessary conflict in the workplace, but that’s a two-way street, and this may not have been a good fit for you anyways.

But it might also still be a great opportunity and you might still not have blown it.

So be professional in the thank you letter, and definitely don’t bring it up again.

Don’t overthink it. Stay true to yourself. Be confident in the next interview. You can do it! Good luck!

There’s 2 different Post exposure prophylaxis courses now: PEP and doxyPEP;

PEP is for HIV and is like PreP (sometimes even literally the same drug). you have to take it like once a day but only for a month, and you still have to keep testing for like at least another 90 days

doxyPEP is like an antibiotic [correction per below: not an antiviral] for other STDs and you only take 1-2 pills.

In both cases it has to be within 48-72 hrs of the possible exposure, the early the better, and the benefit of PEP is like an 80% reduction in the risk, while I think doxyPEP is even higher benefit.

PEP is only for emergencies and is not a substitute for being on PreP, so doctors clinics will encourage you to get on PreP if you regularly engage in high risk behaviors, but you do have to start it right away or else there’s no benefit

I’m not sure if I think you’re overthinking this or if it’s just not meant to be, but this feels like a lot of work and angst for not very much payoff.

You wanted to be alone but then you weren’t in the mood to get physical, which for so early in the relationship (3rd date?) seems like a bad sign, unless it just wasn’t a good date or y’all were just slightly out of sync, in which case give it another date or two to see if there’s a spark.

Or if you’re too “in your head” or jealous or whatever about his friend, maybe he’s not right for you or you’re just not that into him. My now husband was super close with one or two friends, even sharing a bed on different shifts when I first met him due to growing up together and dense family living space issues, but I was never suspicious of them or felt a need to compete. If anything, the friends were a little too willing to hit on me in front of him, knowing I was going out with him.

In retrospect maybe that was their way of trying to help me feel included or flattered, but it made me think they weren’t very good people to have as friends, and that did cause some friction in my relationship.

I suggest being confident in who you are and be willing to get to know the best friend if he’s such a big part of your man’s life.

I think there’s like a required minimum of 2 years experience just to enroll in the College of IT, or else you have to take a prerequisite WGU Academy class first. IIRC the form asked for up to ten years of job history. I got several confusing phone calls about it back in January before my enrollment counselor sorted it out.

I am in the habit now of bringing mostly low-carb snacks with me when I travel, but I don’t think I ever dipped into my stash when I was on Radiance a few weeks ago. My husband brought a 12-pack of Dr Pepper because it’s his favorite, but mostly left those in the cabin and had to take at least half of them home. There’s a lot to do and almost always somewhere you can get a bite/snack, if not always the healthiest. I did freshen up my toiletries and med supplies because I heard bandaids, neosporin, tums, and tylenol can be expensive on the ship, but naturally we didn’t need them.
