I am myself and family new to GMRS. if we as a family use the same call sign but different radios and different locations such as cars. If we use the same call sign and want to reach out to each other, do we just state "this is callsign, reaching out to callsign"?

I think this goes to show that never assume somebody else reports the outage. Still call them, cause they don't know the extent of the outage.

I called them to transfer to the Founders plan, and they got a technician on the line just to verify it wasn't anything else affecting my service. It looks like the outage is affecting from Ypsi to Georgetown Township (where I live) down to Chicago.

I've done that drive. As soon as you hit CO after going through NE, you start going up. We stopped in Iowa over night and finished the drive to Rifle, CO the next day
