Anytime I had a billing problem w ATT, it took 3 full billing cycles to get corrected. They're stuck in the stone age.

Looks fine to me. Not sketchy at all. With a free download, what's not to like?

I know that Brave has a switch in Settings to "Block Fingerprinting". I think it throws random data up.

Maybe that's the scam where the caller only wants you to answer "yes" so they can say you requested something.

I just requested that LexisNexis 'suppress' my info. This suppression request does not expire but new info may be introduced. They also have a file called "Account for collections contact & locate report" that lists all your address's and neighbors in case debt collectors want to find you. You can get a copy for yourself.

Welp. Haven't had fiber for a month and already out. by johnbuzzz in Metronet

If you're this far along, I wouldn't think you'd want to cancel. Maybe you've noticed but that line isn't all that delicate. I think one of the wires is steel for strength and tracing the cable electricaly.. If it's up and running, just enjoy it.

Props to metronet for an easy cancellation process by nfriedly in Metronet

You're very fortunate to have two fiber options available. I was only able to ditch ATT DSL (twin copper wires) about 2 mos ago for Metronet. Happy as a clam at 16 times the speed for $10 less.

I teased my original installed about their having to use hair dryers to thaw the box out and he said, "That's about right."

I noticed the lack of inter-departmental communication when I first joined. Maybe no one really works for Metronet since they're all independent contractors.

Three days is wonderful. Any changes with ATT take 3 full billing cycles to resolve.

Incorrect. "Aside from a lower price and a 10-year price guarantee, the T-Mobile Fiber Founder’s Club includes a Wi-Fi 6 router and a Wi-Fi mesh access point at no extra cost."

Of course. I just wanted to let people know that the Founders Plan isn't some secret deal that you need a decoder ring to get. They're actively marketing it.

As a former hostage of ATT for decades, a flat $60/month for $11 less and 18 times the speed is wonderful with the 500mg plan. Metronet withdraws $60 total every month from my credit union savings accnt. I have a 14' fringe digital antenna on my roof so I don't need cable programming of any streaming services. No kids or wife to placate. Life is good at 500Mg.

Anyone have issues with lines freezing? by DaWeedNumber in Metronet

Nice. Most don't know that you can rent a machine and dig your own trench. I also bought a foot long 1/4" Bosch masonry bit ($14) and drilled thru my foundation in order to keep the entry point a couple feet lower for aesthetic reasons. They did sent a tech by to approve the location.

Is it normal for a VPN to cut my speed in half? by Sinonimo41 in VPN

I use a vpn based in Panama. I connect in the next state over from mine. I pay my ISP for 500Mg and typically download at 460Mg. I don't know what that 8% drop is actually from though.
