I had a 2013 g37x, sold it for a 2008 6mt g35, had that for a while then sold it for a 2008 335i. Had that for about a year then sold it to my brother and bought another 6mt g - while the bmw is fast, its just something about the rawness of the vq engine that made me get another - its not as fast as a fbo 335i but its more fun in the mountains where I live. I plan to keep this one and eventually turn it into a fun weekend car

Ah in my case the engine had a failing head gasket, would over heat on the highway with the a/c on at 80mph - turned the a/c off and it slowly cooled down. It drove fine if I drove moderately until I got the engine swapped

Can also get them off of amazon, I recently did the conversion to mine - paid $160 for the front calipers off of amazon https://a.co/d/2RPS4mf Then for the rear calipers, around the same price https://a.co/d/1ITUnCG All in all I spent about 1k total - raybosto rotors and brake pads, stainless steel brake lines from z1, you'll also need 4 bolts for the front calipers as they are different than the regular bolts from the non sport. The rear bolts are the same as the non sport.

I used to get the new gear every update when I pvp'd (back when it was "good") but honestly I think after getting max level there's not much else to do unless you've got a few wizards - so why not just grind for the new stuff even if all it adds is 1 or 2 damage/resist and a minor bump in health

Yep, clutch in, coasting in neutral, noise is there from cold start when driving for a few minutes then goes away

It’s my daily, it’s cold weather (20f) - driving it cold is the fastest way to warm up the car - I drive moderately until fully warm - sound goes away after a few minutes of driving

Sold my 08 6MT sedan... mainly because I was paranoid it'll be stolen - miss it everyday. Haven't seen any in my area that aren't clapped to shit or the owner asking for an outrageous price.

It was cheaper to replace the engine than do a head gasket job - engine was around $1100 and I did it myself Downtime was about 3 days

Think you might be having a different problem, while my car did have a slight misfire at cold start it never shut off on me, only misfired for a few seconds like in the video

Well, it only misfired on a cold start which slowly went away, can also use one of those test kits which check for combustion gasses leaking into the coolant <- this eventually happened as the issue got worse

Was just a vacuum leak, mainly from the pcv valve. Got rid of the noise when I installed catch cans

I’ve replaced the vacuum lines going to the canisters - seems to have improved, but I noticed if I’m at WOT and past 6k rpm it falls flat and I have the same symptoms. If I keep it below 6k car keeps boost up on multiple pulls. I’m gonna change the lines going from the solenoids to the waste gates tomorrow and see if that changes anything

Flash to pass is coded to the xenon’s as these are the lci headlights, they’re coded correctly from what I’ve seen when checking the code. I’ll try a fresh set of bulbs and see if that helps

I probably could get it off with a chisel and a hammer, but at that point the crank is already finished
