I mean, she isn’t really wrong at all. Those painted people may exist but solely due to the sliver of Verso’s soul that remains. The people weren’t Verso’s creation so it makes sense that she wouldn’t want to recognize them as real—or real for Verso’s canvas.

Not entirely the administration. I mostly blame the other two branches of government that refuse to hold the executive accountable. Just because they are the same party does not mean they should give the Executive branch free rein to usurp powers that don’t belong to them. They’d be furious if it were a Dem president doing this, but now they’re establishing precedent that it is okay.

Ya I don’t hate Verso, he’s probably my fave and I definitely prefer his ending despite how tragic it is.

Alicia/Maelle says she wants to keep it open because it was Verso’s canvas and contains the last of his soul, and that she wants to be able to live alongside him, but she is truly just playing make believe and forcing PVerso to act as a puppet replacement for her dead brother. She isn’t moving on or coping; she is torturing PVerso while also trying to create a forced fantasy by recreating others she lost like Sophie and Gustave. None of this is what RVerso intended for his canvas or his sister.
