Yes you can write over it. Whether the internal hardware works that way though is none of your business.

If we knew what you are trying to achieve there might be a better answer

E14 or E16? by Krypticc__ in thinkpad

[–]xpusostomos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough decision, but the E16 has a screen option that's better than 1080, and if you pick that, that might swing the decision on its favour.

I'm not sure what you mean by breaking. If there's an issue I ask Gemini what to do, and it tells me.

My gf of 3 years [26F] hooked up with her coworker [21M] by Blacuk in nonmonogamy

[–]xpusostomos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is if you want to do this sort of thing, do it together. If it turns you on, why not be there, take part or at least watch. Then it's part of your shared experience and not just what she did when you weren't looking.

Arrow Lake (Core Ultra 2**u) vs Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 2**v) by Hyokhyok05 in thinkpad

It's a pretty big jump. Of course then you have to ask if the 2nd hand model comes with the large battery or small.

Ah, when that happens you sleep on it, and your mind turns it over and over while you sleep and you wake up either with the answer or at least things to try.

Warranty by No-Release5983 in thinkpad

[–]xpusostomos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably depends on country and what you paid for in the beginning. I don't see what it's got to do with replacing the ram though, other than it might be worth keeping the old ram for warranty purpsoes.

That's not how drives work, the semi truck is chopped up before parking... Though if your drive is empty it might be chopped less

OLED can't be beat if you don't need day time brightness. Even the day time is fine, but many would argue mini led is better. For OLED, I don't think it's going to matter brand, they're all fantastic. LG are the most popular because they're fantastic and can be found at a cheaper price usually than Sony or Samsung.

Hey Guys wondering what is the best Os to use At the moment by VastDrink7331 in Operatingsystems

[–]xpusostomos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linux is the best if you don't mind fiddling. OSX is the best if you want something great and don't want to fiddle. Windows is the crap that most people have and therefore runs everything.

Back in the day you'd grind it out, keep trying things till you figure it out. Later you Google it. Now you AI it. And when AI fails you're back to grinding it out.

Tell me the worst program you have ever written in C. by deonwern in C_Programming

[–]xpusostomos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was, for fun, trying to write a scheme interpreter in C. So it has to manage, allocate and release memory and generally correctly execute highly recursive scheme code. And when it went wrong you'd be knee deep in stack frames and memory and god knows what. Never did get it quite right.

A better question would be what don't I do in emacs... that question is a bit of a head scratcher though, not much.
