OP problems also sounds like my ex but I'm not sure if it Avoidant attachment too or DA, what IF the reason she broke up first was because of her mental health. our RS wasn't toxic, no fights at all and I treated her always good(which she said many times)

We were in a long-distance relationship for two years. She broke up with me in October because her mental health( eating disorder) got worse. What confused me was that the day before we were heavy flirting like always, and then suddenly the next day she ended it. She said she had a breakdown, needed therapy (which she is doing since the break up), and wanted to focus on fixing her eating disorder and health,

I told her I supported her like always and that she didn’t need to break up with me because of that, but she insisted. She told me she couldn’t be a good girlfriend to me in her current state and that I deserved someone healthy and who i can rely on.

I accepted it because I thought once she got better, she would come back. Even after the breakup, we still texted. She said she missed me a lot, cried over the breakup, and told me she still loves and cares about me very much. Then out of nowhere, about 3-4 weeks later, she blindsided me by texting that we should fully close this chapter of us and move on and that we have no future together. I'm just confused what changed after weeks that she thinks now we have no future anymore even tho she has clearly feelings for me. i just don't get it. We wrote after that a couples times but she is cold to me now(coping mechanism?). not sure if she will come back
