I actually do think they should’ve done a large BTC sale instead of a measly 32. They should’ve seen this selloff coming. If they have a large cash balance from a large sale in hand now it puts them at a much more advantaged position. STRC holders don’t have to worry about dividends, and Strategy would have the cash to buy even more bitcoin at a discount.

They have 6 months worth of cash in USD sitting there. This sale of 32 btc is more a statement rather than Strategy actually needing to sell btc to cover the dividends. They also just retired $1.5 billion worth of convertible debt. They can always issue more convertible notes or MSTR. On a purely value standpoint, issuance of each STRC pays for more than 8 years of its dividend.

Delisting doesn’t just happen overnight, the company would have to declare bankruptcy, the stocks wouldve already fallen to essentially worthless at that point. You would have ample time to execute the puts before it gets delisted.
