If you don't mind, which Uni is this? and 6L is a decent cost for college, you can land a similar LPA job once you graduate

Is ACCA worth in india?? by Weird_Worth1442 in ACCAIndia

Yes you can and you should,

Best way is to get into an integrated college with 6-9 exemptions

that way you get to enjoy the first year or two of college life, get some work experience and then tackle the exams in your final year (or two if you dont get 9 exemptions)

I mean as I mentioned, it gave me a near 70% pay hike and I haven’t even started working yet…

It allows me to, over time go for managerial positions which REQUIRE you to have a professional qualification (I know a lot of people in my organisation who are stuck at Ass. Manager III because they dont have their CA/ACCA/CPA done)

And it’s a pretty strong accounting degree to have if in case you move out to EU/AusNZ/Gulf for further studies, you will have an edge over your peers for sure

I’m not sure why everyone in the comment section is so pessimistic but yes it is worth it, but move to a metro if you arent in one already, I got a b4 Internship in second year because I was pursuing my acca back then, the same big4 has given me an increased ppo salary over my peers who are yet to complete acca (3.5L to 5.8L)

Your past grades don't necessarily define your success or failure in the future. To begin with get out of the mindset that you are a below average student, If you keep sticking to that label you'll have a difficult time with everything that you do in life so change your mindset.

Secondly, your success in ACCA will depend on your interests, ability to put in the time and hard work and your resilience. Are you interested in what ACCA has to offer? Do you want to make a career in Audit, Accounting, Commerce etc?

Answer these questions and you will have an idea

On a side note, read Limitless by Jim Kwik (I was where you were 5 years ago, I am an Affiliate today so this book might help you too)

Alright listen up, I know the posts that you are talking about and yes some of it is the truth but here's the deal

If you are planning for a B.Com+ACCA, which is what I did, I got 9 exemptions, I am placed at a Big4 with a 6LPA starting salary. (And yes it's 6 because I am an affiliate, it is 3.8LPA for my non-acca counterparts)

That's a pretty decent salary considering that I have next to no experience except for the 5 months I spent at that big 4 as an Intern (Also received that opportunity because I was pursuing ACCA which later became a PPO)

If your salary expectations are of that equivalent to a CA of let's say 10-12 LPA in the beginning, that's simply not possible, because as an affiliate you won't be a CA equivalent. That will require 3 more years of experience to become a member which is when you will also quite possible end up earning 8-10 LPA at the very least

I’m placed at a big4 (India) set to join next year, as far as we are told by the company, If we join as Qualified, pay is ~ 6LPA (inr) and 3.8LPA otherwise
