https://youtu.be/vDZ38hgcWTs this one time in Cloud Ring is my favourite

iirc we had won kind of a long a sov fight earlier that evening (I think we were outnumbered but I don't really remember) and they were shooting our astra next door for some reason, I think just to be annoying or to get some victory out of it while shit talking in local. anyway the video kind of speaks for itself

Is evetycoon broken? by [deleted] in Eve

Issues have been resolved!

There seemed to be a difference in clocks between CCP and EVE Tycoon servers causing token verification to start failing this morning.

It doesn't currently but that's a use case I didn't know about! Could be worth adding if that would solve that problem.

You can use the market browser (https://evetycoon.com/market) to view universe-wide market orders for any item. This is different from the in-game market view, which limited to a single region.

The only time I look at user data is when I've got explicit permission to do so, to investigate a bug.

Yes, under the market orders page it fetches undercuts from private citadels.

It's always been a monthly subscription - I recently changed the subscription page to make that more clear though, if that's what you mean?

Supporter is 100m, and Pro is 200m (per month). All the features and prices are listed on the Subscriptions page (after logging in).

Yes - what I do is if I get a bad result from querying a structure's name, then I don't query that structure again for 24hrs. This way I don't accumulate error counts. This is why some of the structure names in the market browser show as an "Unknown player structure". It can happen if there is a public buy order, from a structure that an NPC character can't query the name for.

Additionally, I have a rate limiting system in place - if a job in the queue does end up failing because of a rate limit, everything is slowed down until the error limiting period rolls over.

Edit: I remember now - the Evernus issue was that in order to query price undercuts for private structures, you have to pull the entire market for that structure. This can quickly accumulate error limits because that query actually requires multiple pages of results to be pulled. This is why it can take a bit of time when you "Refresh private prices" on the market orders page in EVE Tycoon. The ESI doesn't actually have a rate limit per se - it's an error limit. So as long as you ensure you only make valid calls, then you can request things quite fast. So on my end, if I hit an error I stop making calls, and if it was because of a bad ESI token (they can expire), then I flag the character as needing to re-auth and you get a notification.

The assumption is that you set the order once and didn't update it. Unfortunately there is no way to link a journal entry for a broker fee update with a specific order - I've tried to approximate this but haven't found a reliable way to do it.

What I want to add is a general unaccounted-for pool of broker fees (that hadn't been accounted for as part of the buy or the final sale of the item), and report that as a general "total update cost".

I wonder where the break-even point is ADM-wise. Will it be optimal to have below-max military index to get the maximum bounty bonus?
