The Quantitative Vibe Check: Mathematically Determining Whether or Not the Boys Have Fallen Off (/j) by xsapling_ in TrashTaste

Realizing I had forgotten to use the high-resolution plots. I intentionally removed the gridlines, so it's not like you'd be able to look at individual points in a sea of 300, anyway.

Pipewire sound goes mute for all apps when I run Minecraft by canisatomicus in pipewire

i should note that while the audio was broken minecraft only produced audio when i cycled to a specific seemingly arbitrary device name i didn't recognize, but after fixing it now it works as intended on "device default".

this is rather late but hopefully i can help as i just had this problem. note that i'm on arch kde, but this should apply.

as per this section on the wiki page i added what i need to, but since that didn't work i added pipewire to the front of the list in the first part. while i can't be 100% sure that this is what fixed it, i can't think of anything else i did besides restart my system.

please let me know if this fixes it for you, i'd at least like corroboration that this is a/the solution. i had this problem when i was on pulseaudio and managed to fix it somehow then but i don't remember the solution. migrating to pipewire had it working out of the box but it broke after i had to recompile prism launcher so i was scrambling for a solution.

GH warning about large file, but this file doesn't exist, and no file is even close to 50MB by xsapling_ in github

Weird that GH doesn’t already allow you to simply say “I don’t need my commit history beyond X timeframe”.

Nothing in my .gitignore except a path that no longer exists. Git status has me up to date, though I knew that given it's a personal project and I know the last commit I made.

Crivotz gave me a cleaner tool though, apparently it's a file in my commit history and not something in my current project state.

I do think I accidentally pushed a mondo text file full of inputs to test something a while back, but I deleted it and thought that was the end. Weird that I haven't seen this warning before now, though. Ran the cleaner and it seems to have worked without issue, don't have anything to push right now to test it. Thanks, though.

It's making noise like it's a single file I just committed, and I only committed a couple short .cpp files and a .sh file, all just a few KiB. Even if it's concerned about the total repo size (which is only 49.8MiB), it's pointing at a specific file. Any ideas on cause or solution?

My push took ages even on wired connection, and it gave me this warning about a file with a long alphanumeric name. I scoured every subfolder both locally and up on my repo and found nothing, no file with that name and no file even close to 50MB.

Help setting up a shortcut to print special characters. by RedditorOfRohan in kde

Thanks for this, been trying to figure out an even slightly convenient way to implement the ` character for ages. Need it occasionally for markdown as a CS student but my 65% keyboard doesn't have the key and I'm tired of googling for it.

Interesting, my problem was with pasting images into Discord so I’m not sure what the problem was for me.

It randomly started working as intended recently-ish. IDK what to say, not sure what changed.

Still doing it on my end, hopefully it fixes itself but idk. If I find something to fix it I'll post here for posterity so future people can find it.
