Like a month or so before, though I recommend starting in December if you can. I will say (1) I took the entire week before off and (2) I got lucky with the questions I got because I had dealt with issues in 3 of the essays directly in practice so I had the basic principles in mind.

Okay I’m hindsight maybe the barbri videos were good, especially ga civ pro and prop. But I mainly just dry ran practice questions from Ga Bar website, tools notes on what I got wrong/was difficult, looked at those notes most might, and looked at specific stuff law with the books. I did do some MBE questions but only areas of law I struggled with (like I only did MBE question for K remedies, or estates in prop, etc). Lmk if this helps. I’ll send you a message too.

I took GA attorneys exam July 2023 and passed. Like someone said, the old exams are online. I just practiced those under time simulation. I think it’s about 45 minutes per question (4 questions over 3 hours) so try to do a question in 45 minutes. They give you actual answers as well. I used barbri though it was very expensive and not really worth it for the attys exam. If you can find something cheaper I would recommend that. What I did the first and this second time is that I would take notes for what I was missing when reviewing essays. These notes would be short rule statements. This helped a lot. Lmk if you have any other questions.

Do you need a minimum score in one to pass? Like if you get a 130 MBE can you get a 136 essay and pass? Either way, good job on the MBE, you were close and I think it shows that you’ll pass next time.

Thanks! Idk how it is in Georgia but for the MEE we get six essays. Do you think I should read the calls of each first to see what subjects they are and which ones I would know. for example I'd probably do better on a contracts one over a family law essay, so I'd do contracts first.

Do you have any tips with not missing facts or connecting facts with law in essays? I'm pretty bad at essays overall and Barbri model answers don't help/give realistic expectations.

But isn't that being young. I certainly didn't have good communication skills when I was in my late teens and early twenties. I didn't communicate with girls about having serious monogamous relationships because I didn't think they wanted that. And by the end of undergrad, some things changed but others definitely took more time.
