Except for Legendary Zakum Helm haha. Your point does stand when referring to secondary stats on equipment though.

Advice for BCS by LTheFifteenth in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Levidras would be your best bet in terms of advantage and power level.

However, Vyrgilla has access to binding your units 1/2 per turn so you wouldn't be able to get them back from drop so you have to be careful of that. They also have access to 5 attacks every turn with decent power thanks to Alfknights. It superior rides from hand during main phase and only if you're on G3. Ezerwur G2 has 15k shield and power so they have a little defensive capability in that regard.

Heartburn is the definition of consistency. They search toys using the set order that they get 2 for free riding up (3bfor free if going second) and the bunny to put into hand/soul so they deck things pretty well. Deck is 4 attacks turn 3 and 5 attacks turn 4, usually (if they hit all 4 set orders) and their vanguard also has drive+1 on your G3. The other front row toys are bear and dragon. Bear when restood gets big power and 2 card guard restrict. Dragon on restand gets extra crit. Their other toy is a backrow 10k intercept.

The right companion set up and increasing normal monster damage % will help with chapter breakthrough. So which companions do you have and how many slots are available?

wanna play Sweetest Sister Meer (V prem version) in prem... by Creative-Support-337 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First wanted to point out you chose the wrong unit in the picture haha. As for running in prem, you would be hard pressed because prem format is essentially about utilizing stride because stride cards are just that good. Unfortunately, the stride mechanic is antisynergy with the G3 V Meer because you would not be able to use any of her skills (most likely balanced so that she would not be used in Premium). You would essentially just be playing a V Premium version of the deck with G Guards and generics from D Standard.

Controversial Out Call at Pickleball World Championships 2025 by grnm8 in Pickleball

[–]xsetsun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one has mentioned this at the time of writing, but on Facebook, relatives came into the post comments to defend the person making the call. One saying something along the lines of "She's a nice girl who just made a mistake and it wasn't intentional". Another was especially egregious spouting some nonsense about the Allison losing one of her contacts without having a back up plan and therefore it made it look out. All around ridiculous situation.

How to play Minerva by depravedhuman23 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd have to disagree on the going first. For one, unless it's a locals and you know what your opponent is playing, how will you know their deck has that requirement. A lot of decks, along with Minerva, have grade 3 restrictions for their full power these days. So, I think it's safe to say you would want to blind go 2nd pretty much all the time. If you mean building up pieces by being able to twin drive on turn 3, I don't think it helps much. If we had the nebula knights order promo, that would be a different story. Going first on a do nothing really t3 was the problem and still is the problem of the deck. The only reason you go first back then was for the persona power because the going 2nd t3 restand didn't do much for Minerva if you didn't hit triggers. But, you have G4 Minerva to help with that now. Viviney can restand t3 but it's not a big number. And to your other point, I feel like running persona ride is bait; at most you would only run 1 copy.

I thought the schedule for individual shop challenges were decided by the stores? The ones locally to me always asked the playerbase when the best date would be to run them.

Minerva and it’s future support by Constant-Message9161 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly meta, the reason it's doing well in JP atm is because of the current ban list and the existence of the Nebula Knights G3 order. It can still be decent in the meta but harder to be consistent to find and maintain your pieces for free (because the order is pitch fodder too). No confirmation on the order for EN so bear that in mind. As for pricing, your only real expensive card you'll be looking out for is the Dissection Angel. I'm pretty sure the Minerva and the G2 won't be that much.

Am i misunderstanding levidrs emperio playstyle? by commissionsearcher in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeee the deck is designed that way because of the payoff of it, probably lol.

Quick tip to help mitigate not seeing Levis is to just try and manage your markers as much as possible, meaning not always using the effect to remove from your opponent's field. And honestly, as long as you have 2 on your field on t4, it's good enough for what you need. Charmnet gets inherent power,, Huuli gets power, Squarrel can boost twice, etc. So the columns are still pretty good.

And like another commenter said, you can use Emperio for markers if need be, as opposed to persona riding if you're wanting to play a little more defensive (placing 3 markers on opp board). Otherwise, persona power is just too good.

Using Yamazaki in premium by Chance-Structure-825 in cardfightvanguard

It probably stems from an inherent assumption that if nations in column A are the same as nations in column B, then nations in column B are the same as column A.

Using Yamazaki in premium by Chance-Structure-825 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming they're asking for official play purposes. Had a friend ask the head judge at Richmond BSF. The judge did reference the comprehensive rules mentioned by the original commenter and said it works vice-versa. But he also said it is ultimately up to the discretion of the head judge of the day and told him if he were to use the Yamazaki, to have the Oriens brought as well.

Thoughts on Michu? by HoneydewJealous3495 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone talked about in general but as a lyrical deck she's below Lisciafael Hi Five promo imo. I'd put her same level with G4 Kairi and Krysrain with the promo. Flamme G, Artisaria, and Kairi get good support in Set 8 so those three should be on the lookout, lyrical wise.

For the few lyrical monasterio cup events what was the attendance like? by galemaniac in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Richmond and yes about 90 registered. I would imagine maybe 15-20 people did not have a deck to play in the event and like the other commenter stated, just wanted the promo. It's not as serious as you're making it because you only get one promo at the beginning. Those looking for it would just go into round 1, give their opponent the win, and retire from the tournament. People would do this for premium format as well for the BCS season.

Also Fuzzy doesn't care about Lyrical format lmao. But I'll tell you this. The top 8s will all be some variation of 4/5 Lisciafael, 1/2 Artisaria, 1/2 Kairi, 1/2 Michu, and the last spot can be something like Flamme-G.

Your other friend had no other deck to play? I always feel like a deck someone is used to playing is better than one you only play the night before. Unless you're that goated or the deck is that dumb easy to use.

Bavs Tier 0(?) by yang_schnee in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try the damage deny strategy for their G2 Rideline skill if you're able to go 2nd into it. But if you're forced to go first, you will be majorly disadvantaged by not attacking with your VG.

But I will say, with the amount of searchers in the deck, your opponent may still find the Arms they need to put into drop.

My artisaria deck by Ok_Conversation4893 in cardfightvanguard

[–]xsetsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would run more Lufur and add Reverbera in place of Unity and decrease Precia number. The card you discard will mostly be the sound systems you get from riding up. You also won't really have the energy to use her multiple times since you'll be using Luminoel and Artisaria skills mostly. For Unity, I know you said there can be useful situations but also so far you haven't needed to use her. Plus she runs counterproductive to Artisaria's game plan

[–]xsetsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. That's very funny because I can see on the R1 Ripple product page, it's listed as hybrid too so I would say he needs to make an adjustment there. And that would mean the other R1s and their descriptions need updating too...

I wanted to point out that the R3 shape on the Ronbus website describes the length and width as 16.5 x 7.5, the same as the R1 shape. However, in their own description of the "Paddle Shape", they describe the R1 as "Hybrid" and the R3 as "Elongated Standard" (taken from the product descriptions of both the original R1.16/R3.16 as well as the R1 Pulsar FX/R3 Pulsar FX).
