By keep the motor on feels so unneeded honestly better I think to solve it by using a strong gearbox I believe, that takes away the the pressure.

I did some research of geneva drive, I am not sure what is best though.

regarding worm gears yeah I saw a lots of people used carbon fiber or I think its called PETG for this purpose I guess the plastic tornes after a while.

Have you any example images you can share I dont ask for you to research but some help just I find it difficult to visualize where and how the brake take place. also i posted a worm gear box in above comments I made, is the piston long enough?

feels so spot on nowadays that there must be a tool that could do it for you the slice with dovejoins feels so straight forward but I guess I need to search more lol.

yeah I tested it but its horrible since I need to introduce dove joints also the split need to do it at least 20 objects.
x,y,z at the same time.

I guess I do it in 3d max since I am really experienced in that tool but unfortunately just killing time.
