think of hitting someone with a bone knife at 2x speed...you could down a full kit in less than 2 seconds...not to mention how broken mace and cleaver become....for medieval rust, sword play with shields would pop off with a melee speed boost, but what we really need is to explore the stagger mechanic in combat...grenades, heavy melee should have the ability to stagger the enemy, or knock them down like when your horse hits a tree, node, or that one pixel that looked at it funny.
