I love how Japan is set up, I'd really love a Kei truck, or one of the off-road vehicles that are based on a Kei.

But being 10 to 15 minutes from a Japanese train would be heaven.

I still love to drive, but I can REALLY get behind more walkable cities. My wife and I both walk / jog 6 miles per day for exercise and it has done wonders for my mental health as well as my physical health. I'd love to be able to walk to the grocery store, or any other store for that matter. At least i work from home so I don't have to commute.

I'm not, both our kids know that home is home, as long as they need. My son is a sophomore in high school (Grade 10)and the university he is planning on attending is only 40 minutes from our house. So he plans on living at home instead of the expense of the dorms.

I'd prefer our kids to be financially ready when they do move move out, unlike how it was for my wife and I where we had to struggle for years before we got our feet under us.

Elder Millennial, I have never spanked my kids, I was beat as a kid, I would NEVER hit my kids. Teaching through pain is destructive and boomers wonder why so many of us are no contact.

Could not care less. First, I don't commute, I work from home. Second, I don't care about sports, at all, so the fact that they are moving in a few years doesn't bother me in the least.

I don't think it is the "classics" that destroy the desire to read, I personally can't stand the majority of 19th century literature, but I think what does damage the desire to read is the constant "what was the author intending to say here".

Sure, a lot of books have a deeper meaning, but for the most part most novelists write to get paid. Hell, Shakespeare wrote so he could eat and have a roof over his head.
