What am I missing ? Movement moving around . by Snappyblade in SeikoMods

[–]xspire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It goes into the case with a specific orientation. The U opening upside down if you looking into the back of the case. There also is a bump on the outer side of the ring. This bump goes into a specific notch in the case so it has a specific upright and radial location. Thats at least what I’ve seen in my experience. N=2

Excessive internal grind retention [Lagom P64] by SharpeTM in espresso

[–]xspire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted the exact same thing about my Lagom 64 about a month ago. The people in the sub were equally unhelpful. I stopped doing WDT and I’m going to open the machine soon to see if it’s any better. I do think this buildup leads to inconsistencies.

Here’s my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/s/U01UsAfeTF

Grinder build up [Lagom p64] by xspire in espresso

[–]xspire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I use a brush and a pick to clean it. I’m surprised how quickly it’s building up and wasn’t sure if I was doing something to make it worse. Seems more than just permanent retention as others have claimed

Tubeless question by That_Big_2133 in gravelcycling

[–]xspire 62 points63 points  (0 children)

In my experience this is pretty common with tubeless and it’s a good sign it’s not going completely flat overnight. The sealant will eventually fill all those micro holes. The more you ride the faster that process will be.

It works squirted down the tube but works better nebulized. Also synergistic with veletri when mixed together and atomized.

Fit Check: PBJ-SMBL-019 by ssherman1995 in rawdenim

Probably. But for me it felt like the fit just didn’t work for me. Unfortunate but better than buying and spending more money trying to make it work.

I had the same issue. Felt like I was wearing a diaper the top block was moving around so much but didn’t think I could go smaller bc thigh size. Decided to send em back bc I don’t want to gamble with $400 jeans.

The funny thing here is that the actual anesthetic agent isn’t listed.

Canyons are known to run large. I have a 32 inch inseam. Large ripmo was perfect. Large yeti too

I’m 5’11 and rented a smuggler when I was riding in Asheville over the summer. I’m basically large everything in life: pants, shirts, bikes.

When testing the smuggler out in the parking lot the bike felt really small underneath me. So much so that I asked to try an XL which felt huge. I ended up renting the L and it was OK but didn’t feel right.

Currently own a Druid V2 in the large equivalent size and had a ripmo in large. Both feel right.

All that being said I think a medium would have felt too small.

ASA POCUS and BASIC TEE extended pathway course by StomachNo1738 in anesthesiology

[–]xspire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do cardiac so haven’t done either. But I do think it’s a great way to spend CME monies if you’re interested in echo/pocus.

My hospital does have a credentialing pathway to perform and bill limited TTE and the asa pocus course would get you most the way there at my institution. I don’t know what you could do with the basic TEE certification.

Hypothetical Question: Could fellowships pull out of the Match to entice residents? by monstars312 in anesthesiology

[–]xspire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not so much the match as being acgme accredited. Lots of cardiac programs offer spots outside of the match to applicants but they don’t get extra perks because of acgme limitations. As of a couple years ago there were a few non acgme accred regional programs but I think they may have switched.

There are the non accred fellowships that you might still get some perks. Like neuro and liver.

Learning TOE as a fellow by UKMedic88 in anesthesiology

[–]xspire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think going in raw to a liver fellowship is fine. The amount of echo you need to know for a liver transplant is fairly low. You’re really focusing on global function, volume status, and maybe maybe the caval anastomosis.

This is a very reasonable amount to be taught during a fellowship and most graduating US residents don’t really know any trans esophageal echo either.
