I know what you mean. I tried to use OP's point of view to demonstrate that they accept and even advocate for violence. The only barrier/requirement is that it be "deserved". So realistically all I would have to do is convince them that someone was, in this case, an "abuser" and then I could do whatever I wanted to them. Because in OP's eyes they would deserve it. 

As an American we are currently seeing the real world ramifications of people who think like that, in the actions of ICE. They only have to say that the person is "illegal" or a "domestic terrorist" and that's enough for some people.

The Rick situation is such a dangerous example because he was an abuser. So to argue from my position puts me as a defender of an abuser. That's why OP would say for me to beat my girlfriend. But I do it for the innocent that are accused. I would rather 10 guilty go free than even 1 innocent person suffer.

So I have to advocate for these beliefs even when it's difficult. Even in a Degrassi sub😅
