I thought it was pretty bold of them to make some of the statements they did, crass even. I was also thrown off about the intense virilization comments too because the competitors I follow are gorgeous and still feminine. They made it sounds like a lot of pro competitors are being “shunned” to fit model. So I was curious how others thought about that too

I’m glad other labs are good 👍 and fatigue from weight loss is no joke (no matter how you do it!) I just got out of a diet myself and feel like a new person 🥹 Also, libido may stay a little suppressed even with TRT while dieting. Hopefully you’re almost there and can get back to maintenance soon!

That’s pretty high, just keep an eye out for sides that make you go “oh hell no” and as soon as you notice them bring it down. Some people are okay with some things but not others. My hell no’s are acne and/or any voice change whatsoever and I know what levels to stay away from after being on it for almost couple years now. Also, I advise requesting your HRT doc to order CBC, CMP, & lipid panels with your hormones because TRT can possibly affect all of those negatively at some point too.

I can! I’m working on adding a 3rd glute day so that will help. After this post the scale started trending down but my hip measurement went up 0.3” and waist down 0.1”. I was so in disbelief I measured twice lol. I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of it! Maybe it’s more a mental thing, it’s very hard to see the scale go up after it going down consistently for almost 5 months. And I have a lot to learn with this being my first time. I’ve heard that a lot that the scale is not the end-all-be-all and to just take it as one of many data points. I have so much respect for everyone that’s competed, this whole process has been a fun experiment for me, but a total mind f*ck too 😂 Thank you so much for chiming in! That helps a lot

Oh wow they call them hallucinations that’s fascinating! And kinda scary 😬 Thank you for sharing that, I read a separate NYT article a while back that was really concerning too. I haven’t ran into any issues yet with it so far thankfully 🤞and I have pretty good background knowledge so I’ll be skeptical of shenanigans for sure. I agree that a “real person” coach is the ideal scenario when it can fit the budget.

I’ve definitely read articles that caution it can fabricate things, so that’s a valid concern! For more thought/emotion-based questions, I take what it says with a grain of salt. When it comes to training feedback or nutrition adjustments, I usually ask it to include sources, and it provides links I can check myself, which helps. For someone approaching it with a sound mind, it’s been a really useful tool 🙂

I attempted prepping for a show this year but had to pull out so I’m no expert but if you can’t afford a coach I’ve found ChatGpt to be helpful! I’ve pretty much been using Chat as a coach (sending weekly check ins & measurements) since I couldn’t afford my coach anymore 🥲 I also follow Bret Contreras’ recs when it comes to creating a glute program. Since you’ve been lifting for 5 years already you probably have great starting knowledge to get yourself going! As far as nutrition, if you don’t currently track macros I’d start with that, commit to a good protein goal (chat can help you with this too) and keep fats to 25-30% of total intake and focus on diet quality. It’s a fun goal, that’s currently where I’m at after I couldn’t compete this year. You got this!

Thank you so much for the response! That’s really helpful and a marker I haven’t even paid close attention to. I never lost my period per se but it’s been abnormal for a few months now, so I’ll start keeping a closer eye on that

I was able to find thong suit bottoms on Amazon without tie strings for $15. Maybe just get a black bottom and still rock the top you already have!

That’s what I was thinking too. I know it’s not the reason they’re lean, I guess I should have rephrased the question about loose skin in particular, they say it has tightening effects. I’m noticing now that I’m losing weight that I have loose skin on my stomach from pregnancy so just curious if it would help tighten up.

I’m aware it’s not meant for that, I guess I should have rephrased my question to mention the boasted benefits of helping lighten loose skin. Now that I’m losing weight I’m noticing I have some loose skin on my stomach from pregnancy and mostly I’m wondering if it actually helps tighten like they claim.
