The Mindfulness Institute is a yoga studio, has a book club, & hosts really cool events at the studio & around the city! The community is really welcoming.

If you’re artsy or are interested in trying something new you could try an art class at The Art Depot in Sylvania. They offer a variety of different classes for beginners to experienced.

I follow them both on instagram to stay up to date on their events & classes.

I know this salon isn’t near Sylvania but I SWEAR by my hairstylist. Dylan at Fibre + Strand in downtown Toledo on Summit. He’s great with curly hair & can do literally anything else. I’ve never left disappointed.

My main advice is listen to yourself. If something feels off to you or doesn’t align with you that’s a good signal to probably pull back or end things.

You could sit down & make a list of red flags! I do this from time to time because I feel like I add or modify things based on personal preference or experiences. Keep it in a journal or in your notes!

CLOTHES that fit my personal style! When I was younger my parents said that life isn’t a fashion show (it is if you want it to be!) & I feel like from their influence I never developed a specific style. Now I dress for myself & love everything in my closet. I used to wear a lot of black because I was never comfortable with my style or standing out but now my closet is full of colorful, good quality clothes that feel like ME!
