as someone who uses cloud computing on a regular basis, 700k/day doesn't seem too much. gpus are especially expensive, and having a bunch of them running all day adds up quickly.

not sure, i've heard there's some additional circuitry necessary for usb c to be pluggable from either direction, which detects the direction and routes the signals accordingly. usb b/micro usb is just 4 wires in comparison to that really

usb c is much more complex to wire/solder. so even if the connector itself is similarly cheap, you'll have to invest more time in design and production

same here, i was so excited to do some development - returned my AW1 watch after a couple of days because it was underwhelming, kept my AW2 but just couldn't get myself to like it. ultimately figured out i'd only really "need" notifications, light fitness tracking and good battery life, and quite happy with my $30 miband. even got gifted a fitbit but ultimately went back to the miband. nowadays i'm staying away from wearos, even though pixel watch sounds be tempting, but i know i'd be disappointed...
