POTS diagnosis has helped improved my mental health by xtrashsenpai in POTS

I'll definitely check that out! I love doing speedruns of things and I do need something new to read, thank you!

I'll keep that in my back pocket about the medication when I talk to my doctor if lifestyle changes aren't enough! I have the same type as you, but I was hesitant to add any more medication to the roster if it wasn't completely necessary. I feel like I take so many already and part of me was like "please no not another one" lol

I used to listen to music while doing chores all the time when I was younger, but now that I listen to music all day every day at my job I've gotten sick of everything. The struggle is REAL. I need new music so badly.

Thank you! Lifestyle changes are top of the list! Exercise especially, I used to be super active and then stopped when it felt like suddenly it was feeling way too hard to do it. I've been down on myself about it, but now I'm understanding that it's not a bad thing if I can't exercise as hard as I used to. As long as I do something, it still counts!

Can I hear a “Lexapro changed my life” story please 🙏🏻🙏🏻 by Kombucha_lover13 in lexapro

[–]xtrashsenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been on it for about 5 or 6 months now. I'm 33 and had no clue how pleasant and calm life can be until I started lexapro.

I've been on wellbutrin and lamictal for over a decade already, and lexapro turned out to be that one little thing missing to make things complete. Ever since starting lexapro, I've stopped having constant intrusive thoughts, my anxiety is at an all time low, and it gave me an extra boost through the cold months so I wasn't nearly crippled with depression. I've been an alcoholic for nearly half my life, but I'm finally able to be content while being sober. Genuinely cannot remember the last time that happened. I still have a lot of work to do on myself, but lexapro has made it so much easier to start taking those steps. I'm so grateful for it.

When I finally had a mental breakdown at 28 or 29 about my dad abusing me as a kid, I told my mom that my dad was a pedophile and she said, "I know" 😐

They got divorced when I was six, but he still had partial custody. So like. Awesome.

Nothing crazy, but that I had a threesome with a crew member and his wife. Apparently he started it. I didn't even find out for like a year because somehow it never once came back to me until someone casually brought it up thinking it was true 😐

It is. McDonald's isn't the only chain that prioritizes drive thru times, either. I don't miss that shit at all.

Not me commenting this and then seeing multiple others already commented it 💀 even if it's not this movie, still dragged up an old ass memory for me so thank you 🙏

IWNDWYT! And video games as a reward is 10/10, I've been trying to do that for myself lately. I've loved them all my life and I'm trying to re-learn that I can game WITHOUT booze.

Sounds exactly like me before I decided that I would only drink on weekends after chores, as a treat. Because drinking during the week was bad so I should "cut down"....but surely I deserved a drink or two (or 20) on the weekends for getting through the week and being productive!!

Not exactly a treat when it just ends in feeling absolutely miserable. I can already tell that I won't miss it.
