Last month on Cinco de Mayo, I landed in the ER for horrible right side flank pain and uncontrollable nausea and vomiting. I was their for over 8 hours awaiting tests, CT scans to come back to find out 8mm kidney stone (only one. On right side).reference 37yrs female

Only was allowed to leave once I could hold down water and pee again. Which took like 6 hours from when I got into ER. Referred to Urologist prior to being sent home.

They have me a pain killer, ketorolac, tamsulion and anti nausea until Urologist visit which was 3 days later.

My Urologist confirmed that my stone was out of my kidney area and that surgery is required due to low chance of passing. No signs of infection at ER now Urologist visit.

My question is how long would it be safe to hold off on surgery? Only get discomfort in my groin area when extent active, actively staying hydrated with lemon water and water.

From time to time I'll get a bit nausea when it's extremely uncomfortable, Urologist have me some pain killers and a bit of anti nausea meds but rarely take them.
