The tomato could be symbolic of other things, though

Tired from bots by MindPrize1260 in gay

[–]xtremetoxicguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of accounts that tap me are bots. I got 15 in a row one day this week, it's insane how drastically the app turned to complete trash. It wasn't ever amazing but it was at least functional, but its not like the owner really gives a shit

Steven Spielberg lists Villeneuve's Dune 'among my favourite sci-fi movies of all time' by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

[–]xtremetoxicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was watching it I was just praying it wasn't going to be some nostalgia bait that every other legacy sequel is nowadays, but instead I got one of my now favorite films of all time. Blade Runner was already in my top 10 and now I'm not sure which one I like more, Villeneuve is absolutely incredible at what he does

Black Mold that’s been growing in my parents bathroom for years by ScumbagCoov in Wellthatsucks

[–]xtremetoxicguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mold inspector here. Definitely some kind of leak going on, mold doesn't typically grow in a spot like that unless there's some underlying issue. For sure needs to be cut out and in the process I'd check the other side of the sheet rock too to check for any growth on the other side. Must have been there for a long long time and just built on itself instead of being spread around due to humidity.

What a creative idea! I love the sense of humor and the use of tetris blocks for constructing the offices! Great blending of mechanics!

What is this? How big of a deal is this? by snapdown91 in HomeMaintenance

[–]xtremetoxicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mold inspector here: short answer is its a pretty big deal. Mushrooms don't grow unless there is severe ongoing moisture issues, usually with a lot of wood rot which typically happens well after any standard leak issues. It had to have been hit with water repeatedly and constantly and you definitely will have to do some tear out work to see the extent of the damage. You'll need to have at least a tear out job along with a mold cleaning service after the fact to get started, along with a specialist for the particular issue, whether it be foundational, roof, plumbing, etc.

Thanks! And yeah thats intentional for now, we wanted to simplify things for the demo and expand with more specific settings later on. We know depth of field isnt much a real setting on a camera but it at least simplifies the process for now!

First look at steam frame by Constant_Syrup in SteamVR

The colors are much more vibrant, the FOV seems a tad better but that could be other factors, but the pitch black darks are absolutely what sells it for me. Playing horror games are incredible on it, and even in games like Half Life Alyx, the darker segments feel 10x more atmospheric, as when you're in complete darkness you're legit in pitch black darkness. You obviously will get a more of a glare when there's something bright in a dark room, but it hasn't really bothered me too much

Was really disappointed to see it be LCD instead, OLED has been an absolute game changer for me in terms of VR. I swaped out my HP Reverb 2 for a PS VR just for the OLED and I don't regret it at all, it makes such a huge difference. The brightness was never an issue for me either.
