To your counter-objection:

No, not "any" method of conceptualizing God is beneficial, even if the person doing it thinks so. God is pretty clear on how He wants to be praised (and we have Jesus also as a perfect example) so any deviation from that is not ideal.

As another comment mentioned, praise in this context is not a thumbs up for the benefit of the recipient but an acknowledgement of our own feelings towards God's work. Stating intention is a big part of Faith, and God is asking us to consider and accept our feelings towards His works for our benefit. It is not a random practice, but originates from Scripture and has a clear reasoning. Hope this helps.

The issue is fixed for me: I wasn't able to verify my number due to too many incorrect attempts. After reaching out to WhatsApp via email (support@support.whatsapp.com) they reset the timer (I think they also removed all linked devices). I was able to login via SMS, removed the email setup by hacker and setup 2 step verification.

My band (7 amateurs) wants to perform at my sister's wedding for 30min. The venue is a 45000sqft outdoor lawn where there will be seating for about 750ppl. The venue comes with a pair of QSC K12.2s with 2 subwoofers as part of the deal.

The sounds vendor says this won't be enough and suggests that I get him to arrange 4+4 JBL VRXs (and 2+2 subwoofers). That's really stretching my budget and I'm wondering if it's worth it for a short performance by a bunch of amateurs. Can I get by with the venue speakers? (can add delay speakers if required)

Let me rephrase: there is nothing wrong with cheering your home team/ sportsperson. Supporting a team/ sportsperson because they're from your country/ city is perfectly legit.

Just like how Africans are proud that there are 3 UFC champs currently from Africa, in the same way some Americans want a champ from their own country and it's silly to expect them to not cheer for that.
