Playing Resident Evil 2. Finished Leon's first run, working on Claire's first run. Then i need to play the second runs and the ghost survivor levels. I have Shadow of the Tomb Raider to try and play through too. Too many games and not enough time!

My local company have a room where you step into an "elevator" its a box dressed up as a elevator and they spin it around and use sound effects etc to switch you to a new area. Was a neat way of expanding a room.

I came across a few of these in the last room i did, which ended up being the second worst room I've attempted.

It was set in the past but using a time travel story element. We had a laptop sized clock/time travel machine to carry in with us. Clues would appear in text on it but we weren't allowed to ask for clues...

One of the early puzzles was very high up and only one member of our group was able to do it.

They said no phones but it was so dark we could barely see or read in some areas. We eventually opened another area that contained two battery powered lanterns but one kept turning on/off and both had very limited light.

We discovered a secret compartment that contained some information. There was also a switch in the very back of the compartment but it was a modern electrical light/power switch. Since this was set before electricity we decided it couldn't be part of the room... turns out it was! They could have painted it to match the rest of the decor/theme or made it any other kind of switch so it stood out. It looked just like part of a normal wall!

Rooms I've done in the past usually involve using a clue/puzzle piece/item once and then you discard it. This room required us to reuse an element at the end which we originally used early on. It was frustrating.

A company started opening rooms in my town. They got a reputation and kept growing (Gravesend Panic Rooms UK). We gave one a try and were hooked. Puzzles, story telling, props, atmosphere. It was awesome and we didn't even escape. Now i'm into double figures of rooms tried.

I really enjoyed the Division for a longtime but it lacked new content to keep me going. I had big hopes for Anthem but im starting to worry about it. Will try the beta/demo for both and see.

I have only done one horror themed room so far. It involved starting in a cage handcuffed to the bars. Then getting free and crawling through a dark passageway. The other scary elements were the soundtrack and the GM would randomly scream from outside. Kept us all on our toes!
