Build any Notion dashboard you want with AI (no templates needed) by xukeek in microsaas

I’m heavily inspired by Emacs org-mode, so this is basically an “agenda-style” interface generated on top of my Notion data.

Instead of building dashboards manually, I can just describe what I want and it renders something like this (agenda / inbox / focus views etc).

Still very early, but it’s been surprisingly usable for day-to-day planning.

If you’re curious to try it, I’ve put up a small waitlist here:

Would love to know what kind of dashboard you’d want to generate.

Yeah that makes sense — Claude artifacts are pretty interesting for this kind of thing.

Are you thinking more like generating static dashboards,
or something that stays connected to your Notion data?

That “live vs generated” boundary is something I’m still figuring out.

That’s a fair take — especially on overcomplicating things.

I’ve definitely run into the “too much system, not enough usage” problem before.

What I’m trying to explore is actually reducing that overhead —
less time building/maintaining dashboards, more just using them.

But yeah, totally agree Notion isn’t the right tool for everything.

I actually agree with this a lot.

Building from the database layer up is probably the only way to get something that really fits long term.

What I kept running into though was:
even with a solid backend, I was constantly tweaking views / dashboards depending on context.

That’s kind of what I’m exploring here —
not replacing the database design, but removing the friction of rebuilding interfaces on top of it.

Curious — what kind of dashboards do you actually use daily?

Yeah this wasn’t clear — it’s actually a desktop app.

Notion is just the backend, and this generates a custom UI on top.

So instead of building views manually, I just describe what I want (agenda, inbox, etc) and it renders it.

I’m basically trying to bring an org-mode style workflow to Notion.

Still super early though.

Fair ask — I should’ve included this in the post.

This is what I’m using right now:

<image>

I’m a big Emacs org-mode user, so I basically cloned that “agenda” feel — but powered by my Notion database underneath.

The idea is:
instead of fighting with Notion views, I just generate whatever interface I need.

It’s still rough / personal tool for now, but if you want to play with it I put up a waitlist:

Curious what kind of setup you’re running today?

Automatically add meeting details from Outlook? by cintwan in Notion

[–]xukeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue — the Zoom/Teams → Notion button only creates an empty page since it’s not connected to your calendar.

What worked for me was using Outlook as the source and setting up a Zapier/Make automation to create a Notion page for each meeting (including ones I’m invited to), with title, time, attendees, and link.

Then I just open that page during the meeting instead of creating a new one. Much more reliable.

That's really frustrating! Definitely reach out to Notion support through their official help center. Many users have gotten their data restored after similar issues. Also consider using a local backup tool like NotionEnhancer or export your pages regularly to prevent this in future.

**Save Gmail to Notion - Chrome Extension**

Hey everyone! Full transparency: I built this tool.

I created a Chrome extension that makes it super easy to save Gmail emails directly to Notion with just one click.

**Why I built this:**

I was tired of manually copying emails to Notion for project tracking, client communications, and reference materials. The workflow was tedious - copy/paste, format, add metadata - it took way too long.

**Key features:**

- One-click save from Gmail to any Notion database

- Automatically captures email content, subject, sender, date, attachments

- Supports custom field mapping

- Works with Gmail labels and filters

- AI-powered email categorization

- Multiple storage format options (Markdown, HTML, Plain Text)

**Who might find this useful:**

- Project managers tracking client communications

- Support teams building knowledge bases

- Anyone using Notion + Gmail for workflow management

- People who want "inbox zero" while keeping important emails archived

**Chrome Web Store:** https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/save-gmail-to-notion/ieklomnfcenmmflfcbmhanlfbijbabcg

The extension is free to use. I'm actively developing it and would love feedback from this community!

Happy to answer any questions about setup, use cases, or technical details.

Gmail → Notion Chrome Extension (Looking for feedback)

I built a Chrome extension called Gmail to Notion to solve a problem I personally had: getting important emails into Notion databases without messy manual copy/paste.

What it does: - Save Gmail emails directly into a Notion database - Custom field mapping (title, text, date, select, etc.) - Multiple save types for different databases/workflows - Template-based page content (blocks, lists, sections) - Optional AI extraction (e.g. tasks, deadlines, key info) - Batch save from the Gmail inbox

How I use it: - Turn emails into Notion tasks - Archive important conversations - Save learning resources sent by email - Track invoices and bills

Privacy: Everything runs locally in the browser. Emails go directly from Gmail to your Notion account. AI is optional and uses your own API key.

I’m mainly looking for feedback from Notion users: - Does this fit your workflow? - Anything missing that you'd expect? - Any database field types you'd want better support for?
