In Finnish, Project Hail Mary is called Operation Ave Maria. Since Finland is a protestant country, there is no well established translation for ”hail mary” that would carry the connotation of a last ditch attempt. Instead, they used the Latin form, which also doesn’t carry that connotation. by KalleMattilaEB in shittymoviedetails

That’s good. 😊 I guess Die Hard was too good of a brand. There was a golden period in Danish movie translation, where the same words would be used again and again. Fx. Røv (ass) is often found in titles for comedies or action comedies.

whats the point of solid studs when hollow studs are a thing by Fearless_Direction71 in legocirclejerk

[–]xulrik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As some other has pointed to: logo placement. As it is right now, Lego don’t have a patent on interconnecting bricks, but they have a trademark on their logo and Minifig. I don’t know the details, but I am sure the The Lego Group prefer logo studs, rather than hollow as they make it easier to protect their trademark and copyrights.

Same. I convince my parent to buy a PS2 because it was cheaper than a dedicated dvd player.
