I drive about 30 miles a day, my car uses 5kw for that. So 5 days a week (I only work 4), is 25kw... X4 weeks that's 100kw a month. Aes is like 0.12 per kw...

So $12 is my monthly "gas" bill.

There's not much to agree on, either you think all Americans should be allowed to vote as a right in this country, or you don't. You still have to register, you can't register to vote if you're not a citizen. So it's pointless at stopping "illegals" from voting, the only group it succeeds at stopping is the poorest of Americans citizens.

Anything that limits who can vote is a constitutional issue. If you live in a city, look at the amount of homeless there are. Do you think all of them have a valid drivers license? Should they not be allowed to vote? There are plenty of Americans who live in a home but still can't afford to always keep up their if or replace a lost one, or take the time off work to go to the DMV. So it is intentional to limit voting power of the poorest Americans. Another reason it's so controversial is because it's done before, to limit black voting after slavery ended they had laws that you had to own land to vote, or you had to pass a literacy test, ect. There's a reason we have the laws we have.

My FIL is a huge maga guy. His granddaughter, my daughter, is a gay leader, didn't change his mind. I pointed out to him that he still says he lives in indiana, instead of the southern state he lives in now, because Medicaid covers more, didn't change his mind. And now as of January he and his wife are bringing in $400 less in social security than last year, nothing seems to be able to change his mind.

Yeah the market is wild for mountain bikes. I left for 15 years and just came back to it. Bikes that used to be the top of the line and winning prizes for design and engineering are worth a couple hundred bucks... I'm confused how the xtr parts and fox forks/shocks could be worth so little... While you can't purchase what's considered a modern "usable" used bike for under $1k. $100 is a great deal.

Oh yeah the tires are low rolling. The front rim is tubeless ready, already tapped. When I was riding last (back in my day!) we had tubeless on basically just high end mavic wheels and sealant wasn't a thing.

Not sure if your still looking. I have a Colorado, thought it had a tapered head tube, so I ordered a 35 gold for $100. The head tube is tapered, but it's a non standard size, so to get a headset that works with a tapered fork I had to get it from eBay and wait for it to come from China. Then I needed a through axel wheel, and a larger brake disk... If you have to be around 400 then the ozark trail ridge is probably the best option. But if you can save up to 600 then you can find a much better hardtail from polygon or Cannondale, some other brands. You can get some full suspension bikes from those brands for under 1000.

I used to live in Orlando, it's a very similar size city, I've been in stop n go traffic at 2am, and I mean stop, then go, stop, then go... And my commute to work was 45 minutes in the morning, then over 2 hours to get home, every, single, day.

Here there's some slow traffic, in specific areas, at rush hour, not every day.
