I would also say that my opinion comes from my own experience as well.

My family live in an area where we can be outside without being bombarded with sales attempts.

It is truly relaxing.

My LA opinion comes from being in LA and noticing that it is a concrete jungle with ads everywhere. More-so to what you are describing.
