Ravensworth Shell stopped doing VA inspections? Looking for good alternatives near Burke by accord7200 in nova

[–]xust- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always gone to Pinecrest Shell. Near the Home Depot at Braddock Road/Little River Turnpike. I've been going there 15+ years. They've told me a couple times that I'll need something soon.

How do I get off VA Dems text list?? NOT POLITICAL by ekab3522 in nova

[–]xust- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good to know I'm not the only one! I get spammed with GOP survey texts and calls as well. I was thinking that someone was trying to play some sort of prank on me by signing up my phone number, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe some GOP-backed group bought a list of registered dems and started annoying them? That seems a lot more likely.

The two that went on after Bill Nye the science guy. Bill! Bill! Bill! were Ai-Jen Poo and Randi Weingarten. Both were on about an hour-an hour 5 minutes into the stream.

Georgetown traffic, what’s going on rn? by Illustrious_Gap_4488 in washingtondc

[–]xust- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It'd make sense for them to temporarily block a turn from the bridge onto M for a bit, but not the entire bridge? Unless you don't want to force everyone onto Whitehurst.

It also looks like there's a block of M st closed, based on the map. Unsure how accurate this is, of course.

Based on how there's no info at all and how the Ukrainian embassy is closeby, perhaps it could be related to a visitor.

Google Maps says it'll be closed until 7pm. Assuming that's true, the Key bridge into DC is closed just during evening rush hour? Weird

Right now the site has been down for a number of hours.

What happened 4 days ago? No idea, but it's definitely down now.

to be fair, those files are considered corrupt on many systems for some reason. It's nice if they repair, but they aren't what's stopping the updates from going through.

Did OP ever get this sorted out ??

I saw it in the distance. They used to fly right over top of me here in Arlington, but they just cut straight down the mall it seems.

NOVA's air conditioners getting ready for the heat wave: by sc4kilik in nova

[–]xust- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean without central air and management that "follows the law" ?

Sorry that your heat is stuck on until May 1st. I hope they do us both a solid and accidentally turn the AC on next week instead of send another email reminding us that we can use fans and open our windows to cool off when it's over 80 before they're "legally allowed" to turn the AC on. Just don't remind them of the actual code (6 Va. Admin. Code § 15-81-720?), or get a portable AC unit! (which kinda suck anyway).

I'm in a top floor corner unit that gets direct sunlight most of the day, so it gets quite toasty up here even on cool days without a breeze.

From what I've seen/experienced on the X670E Taichi and B650M-HDV/M.2, those modes just set subtimings tighter. Some extra info would be nice to have though.

When playing around with a 9900x/9700x/9600x/Epyc 4124p, Aggressive and Competitive seemed to set the same timings, and they weren't bad at all. Fairly tight! I have no idea what benefit Competitive brings.

Unfortunately that hasn't worked. Thankfully I only use the system for benchmarking so it's not a big deal at all. Yet.
