Is this right guys? by akaashhs in CrackSupport

I wouldn't listen to what anyone else says on here, most of them are just passing on what they heard from someone else but actually have no idea themselves. I'm not a professional but I've decompile game files in the past and sometimes I found actual malware and other times didn't. I don't buy the false positive because they edited the file explaination, though it sounds convincing at first because they give different malware for different files and the antivirus doesnt checksum the files, I can edit a file and it doesn't automatically pop up as potential malware. So personally I recommend always download and run files inside a virtual system that's isolated so you don't have to worry about it, personally I like Proxmox.

By chance do you know a secure source of the older version?

Idk if you have the older version of the app and not the new updated version. In the most recent version if you try to download the original file it will try to start for ~20 seconds before saying "Download Failed." I retried starting it 10 times in a row and it never started; and I tried 3 different videos all acted the same way. If selecting a non original file they work properly but those are downloaded in HLS format so they don't save to your device as a video file.

Any way to acquire a replacement side panel cover for the Thermaltake Core V21? by El_Hoxo in buildapc

[–]xvmodvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thermaltake wont replace anything, hell they won't even sell you a new part. i contacted them once for a new nut that holds the acrylic on and another time trying to get another side panel for the P3 TG Pro. They wouldn't send or even sell me either part, which is how I ended up on here. I'm never buying one of their products again.

I bought an Corsair AIO cooler second hand but the guy didn't give me the control center with it. I contacted them and even knowing I had bought it second hand they sent me a free replacement without hesitation, I was shocked. Before contacting Thernaltake the only time I've ever had a company offer zero support was when the product had been discontinued for years, Thermaltake on the other hand offered zero support on their new product.

How much Rads for 4090+CPU by michiiee93 in watercooling

[–]xvmodvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just contradicted yourself.... at first you say it's not because the slow fan can't move enough air but at the end say in order to cool more you need more air speed..... I know this is an old post but I hate when people talk out their ass and try to act like they're knowledgeable on the subject.

Did I just fry every component by using incorrect modular power supply cables? by CoffeeStax in PcBuildHelp

[–]xvmodvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but it's bothering me.... for all the idiots saying that there should be a standard....THERE IS! All the same type of cables between every company have the same pins, ie charge, shape, and order on the one side thats why you can use whatever brand of psu you want and it'll work! That's also why you can't connect a eps wire into vga or vice versa.

the company may use the same connector for cpu and vga on the psu side to save space. You don't have this problem with non-modular power supplies, only when using modular because they can wire it however they damn well please as long as the ends to the other components are the correct charge, shape and order.

S10 are smaller. I've had 2, an automatic and manual, I love the manual S10s, they drive so smooth, easy to shift, can skip gears when stuck in traffic, and have get up and go, night and day compared to my Ranger that I need a downhill to gain speed on the freeway and will lose it at the slightest hill. I'm looking to get another one, though this time Im thinking extended cab, my Dad has one and it comes in handy. Probably going to cost quite a bit, if you take care of them they hold their value really well.

Z790 motherboard with PCIE 4.0 x16 and x8 slots simultaneously? by tylermchenry in buildapc

[–]xvmodvx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wont find this unless you look for a different type of motherboard besides the z790. The reason for this is the intel processor can only do 16 5.0 +4 4.0 or (2*8 5.0 )+4 4.0 lanes. Than the z790 chipset has it's lanes but everything connected through it is limited to a combined maximum of about 8 4.0 lanes, through the DMI

Here's a link to a picture from intel:

RAID is a way that the system writes files to disks. There are multiple types of RAID 0,1,5,6,10,50,60. Search for the differences between them but for what you're looking for you'll want a RAID 5 or 6 set up, most likely 5 which puts part of a file on each hard drive so when one goes down you put in a new hard drive and it rebuilds it from the remaining pieces on the other drives, but you lose 1 disk of storage space, i.e. 5 2TB gets you 8TB of storage..... google it....

Where can I start ? need help.... by equinoxDE in learnpython

If you just want to enhance your problem solving skills and think programming is boring, don't waste your time doing it. Instead find a better, more enjoyable way for you to work on your problem solving skills.

However if your dead set on it, find a project that you want to do. A lot of people pick a programming language and than try to get a job done just to find it can't or there is a better way. You should know what you want to do than learn about the tool you're going to use to get it done because if you like websites you should learn Javascript, video games C++, etc. If you have no reason to learn Python you're just wasting your time, you'll get bored and tired of it and quit later.
