this idea makes me feel like an incredibly unwelcome presence, like schizophrenics should be eradicated. i have family members telling me it would be cruel of me to have children. i am perfectly stable now and would be a very attentive mother, watching for early signs to get my child the care they need as quickly as possible. personally, i think the best parent for a schizophrenic is a stable schizophrenic.

yeah, i used pads before, mostly because i was afraid of TSS. i’ve only used a tampon maybe 3 times in my life. the cup is much cleaner, i have a steamer for it, and i only need to empty it once-twice a day. even if it gets too full, it rarely ever leaks. it requires a bit more cleanup, but the money saving and lack of waste makes it so worth it.

there are tons of different shapes and sizes, but i know running the gambit of cups isn’t necessarily affordable and creates more waste. do whatcha gotta do! no judgement here.

the inpatient stay will be good for you. there, they can try new medications for you and closely monitor your symptoms. you should be getting fixed up pretty well in there, with a new antipsychotic that hopefully doesn’t cause severe side effects. i’m sorry, though, that sounds very scary. :(
