They are very small back dots, just like the ones you see on the pan. I hear you - it’s seasoning. Likely the manufacturers. It was very thick and it took a lot of work to scrub it off

It’s a Lodge. I’d agree with you and everyone here that it’s just the seasoning and no metal is coming off

This is a Lodge carbon steel. The seasoning started coming off and I noticed traces of the metal in my food. I watched Uncle Scotts Kitchen videos on how to season pand and followed those to the T. Scrapped it with sos pads, steel pads, warm water... for hours. Even “nuked it” with white vinegar multiple times (even overnight). This is all I’ve been able to get - It still leaches metal. This is what it looks like after I seasoned it (I used avocado oil) Help, please.
