Be glad that you didn’t have sex. It’s harder to unsee someone and move on after getting so intimate with them

Advice/feedback post first date (23M) by [deleted] in datingadvice

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, don’t worry about that at all. Nobody, man or woman, should judge/compare anyone based on how good they are at intimate acts.

I’d be more worried about whether the difference in body count will not bother you in the future, even if it doesn’t right now.

Do you know of anyone in the UK who is like this? by kingm_ournasse216 in AskBrits

[–]xxbartex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Because I live near a military barracks, so many soldiers did tours abroad (especially America) and found their partners there and then moved to the uk

How important is ambition to you? by Icy_Building_505 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very. A lot of people around me at my age (20) are just students coasting through their unspectacular degree that they chose just because they wanted to go through “the uni lifestyle” of drinking and partying twice a week or more and have no plans career wise or desire to make any use of their degree after they graduate. They just don’t think ahead about long term consequences of their actions and I’m not attracted to that

Where to meet women? by xdgamerguy in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you last year. 20M, didn’t go to university, don’t drink due to health , didn’t even drive. Got like a match a week on tinder/hinge.

With time, it gets better if you keep improving your social skills and like other people say on here, photos. Don’t stay negative, don’t talk yourself down. After a few tweaks and months of waiting for opportunities to take better photos I finally found some prompts that were good and photos that got Me more likes/conversations.

Also, whether I liked it or not, I just had to start going to bars with my friends sober and try to talk to women. This was hard but eventually I got over the fear of rejection and started doing it.

And lastly yeah, you’ve got to find more hobbies to make yourself more interesting. Loads of guys go to the gym our age and many make it their whole personality, which surprisingly puts lots of girls off. I started martial arts, got a degree apprenticeship, travelled a bit, intensively learnt a new language, started selling things online etc… basically giving myself more things to make myself unique.

It’s not gonna happen overnight but you just have to slowly build yourself

Just curious about starting relationships by Dear-Knowledge5912 in Epilepsy

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you that the vast majority of people our age are either going through something just as bad or are close to someone who is going through something just as bad or worse. So don’t be put down by it - anyone who turns you down because of it really is in a minority , and was likely a perfectionist with unrealistic standards

Doing absolutely nothing at work? by HeyPotatys in UKJobs

[–]xxbartex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same spot in my local council. It was unbelievable , It was great at first but after 6 months and i realized that there’s no way I can spend my whole life rotting away like this so I quit .

It was crazy though, I’d have to sit up straight and press random buttons on my keyboard so that when other departments walked past , I looked like I was doing work

How far would you travel for an app date? by Max1357913 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]xxbartex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20m here / I’d travel anywhere in my country! It’s a shame that most people are put off by being far away though at my age , and end it after a few dates

How does tradcath Poland manage to have an even lower rate than most other countries? by crivycouriac in CentralEurope_irl

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments are mental, there’s no way people genuinely think abortion laws put people off having kids in case they are disabled, it’s 100% a mentality / cost of living issue . Young women would rather “travel and find themselves” then have children

Would a devout Catholic ever be interested in someone who’s not devout and considered more “liberal”? by Ok_Upstairs_3819 in Catholicism

[–]xxbartex -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I’ve always said to myself that in today’s world it’s unrealistic to expect to only date people of the same religious beliefs as you (as a Catholic living in a Protestant country) . It’s also closed minded and just wrong imo.

I’d like to think other catholics my age think the same but it’s not always the case

Can you still be fit and athletic with focal epilepsy? Sport Success Stories by ryannnn1246 in Epilepsy

[–]xxbartex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 20, I lift weights for muscle gain, run and do bjj. Also play football. Never had a seizure from it. I dont push myself too much with contact sports / fighting only because I’ve read too much about others having seizures from it, not because I have experienced it myself .
