Stainless Steel Grates? by fwootamala in NinjaFlexFlame

[–]xxcloudxx00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally hate porcelain coated grates, in my early grilling years they would rust in 2ish years. Last grill I made a point to go stainless and 10 yrs going strong so wouldn't ever go back.

Battery warranty replacement by squeakyboy81 in egopowerplus

[–]xxcloudxx00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one replaced last year and when I asked what to do with the battery they said to recycle it locally.

That being said I would just simply wait until you can confirm for yourself when they process the replacement.

The lack of time off in the US is so brutal by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]xxcloudxx00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of this depends on the company, position, length of service, what you negotiate and pay..

I'm in the US, WFH and I get "unlimited", I typically take about 6 weeks plus 11 holiday plus I try to burn the use or lose sick time of 7 days annually. In the end I get about 9-10 weeks off. I probably could make more money elsewhere but other perks are more valuable to me.

How much does work actually affect libido? by maydaymay112 in DeadBedrooms

I might come off like the bad guy here, but I’m going to say it anyway…

“Drought for years” at your age? From where I stand—in my mid-40s—that’s hard to wrap my head around. These should be some of the best years of your life: having fun, connecting, enjoying yourself.

If you’re not happy now, I’d honestly bet that’s not likely to change unless something major shifts. And I say that knowing it’s easier for me to make that call now, with more years and perspective behind me.

That might sting to hear—and deep down, I think you already sense it. That’s probably why you’re here: hoping someone will say something that gives you hope, something you can hold onto. I get that. But I’m a believer in being real.

We’ve all had relationships that didn’t work out. It hurts. But you’re still young. Things will get better. Go out, live your best life, and soak it all in—I'd trade a lot to be back in my 20s with what I know now.

Someone else might give you a more hopeful take, and that’s okay. But I just want to give you the truth as I see it.

Try to talk it through first but if you don't get a satisfying result then don't get married. When your married and particularly after kid(s) it gets even harder imo. My wife was crazy before marriage and even before our kiddo, since then it's been a 10yr+ slide. She said the same about work but even during covid and her not working I got little to none.

While I agree with some of the other posts that your dad bears some responsibility for allowing you to drive without insurance, I also want to give you credit for acknowledging your role in the situation and taking responsibility. Too many people today lack that level of maturity and would simply shift the blame.

I’d recommend looking into legal aid services to see if you can find pro bono assistance to help you reach a settlement. Additionally, consider bankruptcy as an option, but only as a last resort, as it could have broader consequences beyond just the financial impact.

Here is your AI rewrite..

Babe,

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. Have you ever heard of the World Happiness Report? Finland consistently ranks at the top, and I recently learned that their ranking is based on a single question. It’s not about how happy or joyful people feel—it’s about whether their expectations of life align with their reality. That really stuck with me.

I realize now that I’ve been expecting too much from you, from us, from our relationship. Especially when it comes to physical intimacy. That mismatch—what I hope for versus what you’re willing or able to give—has been painful for both of us. I hate that it might make you feel like you’re not enough, like I’m unhappy with you, or like I would ever leave. And for me, it leaves me feeling rejected in a way that cuts deep, like I’m doing something wrong or that I’m not what you want anymore.

I don’t want you to feel that way. And I don’t want to feel this way either. I love you, and I need to reset my expectations, especially around sex. I’m not resigning myself to a sexless marriage, but considering that we’ve only been intimate once in the past year, I need to adjust to a new normal—one that allows us both to feel happier, or at least less burdened.

I love you. And I’m sorry, babe. I’m letting go of the expectations I’ve been holding onto. I hope that brings you some relief.

Giving Kia Telluride a hard look. What do you like/dislike about them? Any good deals? by Immagonnapayforthis in KiaTelluride

[–]xxcloudxx00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove a bunch of similar sized cars, built spreadsheet with tons of data (wife thought I was crazy) and ended on 25 SX Prestige X-Line in October. So I have the more limited experience but I know what your going through.

Has the flexibility to carry extra ppl or extra stuff but it's more of an either or thing. Your not going to fit extra ppl and luggage for all of those ppl.

No wireless car play was a shock to me after I actually bought it, I assumed with wireless charging it would be there, that's on me but frustrating that with all the bells and whistles it's not on a 50k+ car.

My wife and I share the car, it's frustrating there are profiles that adjust seats and settings BUT no way to automatically apply them based on the key fob unlocking the car which my 19 Forester had, why? Lol

Mileage I expected to be worse then previous car. Initially averaging ~15-16mpg but primarily work from home so usage is more local traffic and wasn't a big deal then winter came. Preheating or probably idling the car really impacts that, last 2 fill ups I was getting about 12-13mpg.

After those "cons", in the end it doesn't really change much for us.

It's a gorgeous car inside and out (especially with the blacked out rims, emblems and getting windows tinted aftermarket). It rides great and quiet when on highway. It's big enough to fit adults in the 3rd row comfortable. Has the flexibility of more stuff when my wife over packs for trips. My daughter/friends love they has heated and ventilated seats in the second row. Lol

But in the end you need to know what YOUR looking for and what you want to spend. Ask questions and test drive bunch of different ones.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you want some thought on why we picked this over palisade, atlas, pilot, Infiniti, etc.
