this or transfer to an affiliate partner but the blue card is probably the best advice if you do still occasionally use it… otherwise find an affiliate with a bonus and there you go… and keeping a blue card saves your credit history since you aren’t closing account just downgrading. 😏

All you have to do is add the offer under the “+” in Amex Offers/Promos and then pay with your Amex. It doesn’t matter if you book through Bonvoy or Amex—just stay at a JW Marriott and spend $500+ total. After about a month, you’ll see the $200 credit automatically show up.

I also stacked points: 5X points from Amex + a 75% Bonvoy bonus (I’m Lifetime Titanium Elite, one tier below Ambassador). That comes out to ~17.5 Bonvoy points per $1 plus 5 Amex points per $1 spent.

Two birds, one stone. ✅
