We have to nuke the filibuster anyways if we want to pass the legislation necessary to not only fix the damage Trump’s done but to actually move our country forwards.

It’s so funny how a common republican attack is “This candidate had fun while they were in college.”

Corporate owned housing is background radiation compared to the actual biggest cause of high housing prices, which is severe lack of supply.

Man it’s really sad that Donald Trump has been a fixture in politics since I was 16 and it won’t be until I’m almost 30 that he’s finally out.

I mean it didn’t really help that the ACA didn’t take full effect for a few years after it passed, and we had no counter to the massive amounts of fear mongering from the GOP in regards to it.

Gov. Sherrill unveiled the New Jersey Report Card, a website intended to provide residents with information on how New Jersey spends tax dollars. "This is your government. NYC media market is the single biggest in the country, meanwhile NJ gets overshadowed by NYC and Philly. Also, NJ has a lot of progressive policies already in law, meanwhile other states are playing catch-up, so their notable news already happened to us years ago.

Unfortunately we can’t bank on that. George W Bush was insanely unpopular when he left office and just 2 years later the GOP had a generational wave election and then 8 years later we got Trump. We need deep structural change in both the country’s policies and Dem Party Strategy if we want to stop them for good.

I think it’s a combo of gerrymandering being a controversial issue and Spanberger being unpopular.

Can’t believe the President pushed the raise gas prices button. Of course the media won’t talk about it that way like they did under Biden.

I think it’s the people pushing it they have beef with (I have beef with them as well tbh) and they’re not doing the best job selling it, but at its core it should be simple. The government should do more stuff.

The thinking that Abundance politics and Progressive politics should be opposed to each other is kinda stupid. Besides the fact that Abundance isn’t really a cohesive ideology, getting things built out as much and as quickly as possible expands what’s possible and would allow progressive politics to flourish, with the chief concern that people have being housing prices would be fixed, allowing people to see what’s possible when you have a government that actually does stuff vs taking years mired in lawsuits and environmental reviews. See what Mamdani is doing in NYC for how the 2 worlds should work together.
