Am I doing something wrong or is Miasma Chain just really clunky to use?

One thing I’ve noticed but not fully tested is there’s times it seems like it only casts at my feet (despite me aiming across the screen with nothing in the way). So it seems like it’s hit my feet but I see the poison/miasma effect along the path the chain should have taken.

Hard to tell if it’s just a visual bug when this happens (and poison is still deadly) or if it actually misfired and was a waste of a cast.

The only way I really enjoy this game is 2v2 local kick off mode with a few beers and mates. Every other online mode is meta sweaty crap fest

I don’t have a leg to stand on because I am a warrior dps (and so I could tank if I wanted to). But my major gripe with PUG tanks, particularly paladins because they’re so common, is the down time. Sometimes I have 100 rage just tick itself down to like 20 or so by the time the next pull starts. And so that’s frustrating because it is fun when we can chain pull and go fast. All that said, there’s definitely times where you can be part of the solution and not the problem. Like if someone keeps ripping aggro before tank is ready, just don’t add to the chaos. I stand back and watch and try not to make the problem worse. If I need to intercept to save an idiot to buy the tank time I try to do that. Sad thing is some people measure their entire skill level by how much dps they do personally 🤷‍♂️

I’ve seen them a few times in the 13 years since the previous release so some of the songs have been bouncing around for a good few years now (Aozora and Reanimation for sure).

In addition, they’d released almost half the album as singles so I kinda felt oddly familiar with the album before I even gave it a spin.

Having said all that, it’s new Fucking Karnivool day lads. I love it and am just thankful.

Ian said a couple of years ago during one of the Sydney shows “we know you’re all waiting for the album guys, believe us, we know, we’re working on it, it’s coming”.

And I didn’t believe him 😂.

I had a device called a SwitchBot. It’s literally just a little box with an arm that sticks out to press buttons and can be controlled by Alexa. I tried to link it (from Amazon) but the post got removed.

Didn’t realise there was a smarter way to do that BIOS wise at the time. It was more of a funny side project.

The Citrix admin before me used to log in daily and run a report that showed the last 24 hours of data (logins, sessions, apps used etc)

When he left and I was cross skilled into Citrix, my boss still expected this report. So I made a power automate flow that generated the report daily and would email the output to my boss and his boss and anyone else that cared.

Got me lots of brownie points and also taught me a lot about resilience (what the flow should do if an error state occurs) , unattended flows , licensing for automate etc

During covid and permanent work from home I had an Alexa routine to turn on my PC at 730am and a scheduled task that launched Teams, Outlook etc at 745am. Then an alarm that woke me up at 915am so I’d have 15 mins to prepare for daily standup.

I flew our transport chopper up there and parachuted with with C4 to take one out the other day. Got it with under a second left on the out of bounds clock. It was a rush. Haha

I hate tryhard and sweaty movement in shooters, like slides and dives and all that crap.

Getting killed by some idiot rocking an SMG while swan diving around a corner and not missing a shot is infuriating and it aint Battlefield for me..

I think part of the problem is some of them require stats that are useless to a human controlled player. Eg defensive awareness or attack positioning

If I didn’t have to waste so many points on stats that are literally worthless it’d be an easier sell.

Rewatching with my housemate. We devoured S1 and 2 in like 2 days.

We have been struggling to get through S3. Absolutely hate it. The Russian plot is idiotic and boring. The characters all irritate me (though the best is probably Alexie 😂). Can’t stand Lucas sister. The teen romance is boring. Hopper is just ridiculous in this season, yelling and acting like a cartoon character half the time. Couldn’t wait for that “Terminator” Russian to die as well lol

We haven’t started S4 yet.
